the MSP getting the speedo signal from the ABS system is precisely the reason why the MSP lsd is not machined to fit a speedo gear

I had it done by a guy named Steve Lockett in Pennsylvania. A guy on the ZX2 boards was shredding 3rd gears nearly ever time he got on the car (352whp) and he had his gears treated by this guy and still the gears look perfect nearly a year later.
They were tested to 750whp on Civic gears.
It was $200.

a quick google search yielded this:
Steve Lockett has had a great deal of success with his modified input shafts. He runs a lockup converter and lockup shaft which has been highly polished to remove all stress risers. He is pushing 605HP on a 2.4 motor and so far, the shaft has been holding for a year and a half. After the polishing, it is heat treated, in a conventional oven.... 1/2 hour at 400^, 1/2 more at 500^, 1 hour at 600^, turn the oven off and let it cool down slowly.
