ABS plastic would be sweet too! Get someone to make a plaster mold of the grill and you can vac mold it! It would be super cheap, and only require a bit of work.

That is beyond my range of knowledge, as I have never done anything like that before and wouldn't even know where to begin.

For what its worth, I have contacted a company that makes custom plastic pieces and waiting to hear back from them, since its obvious nobody wants anything to do with CF.

do you end up with a gap if you don't have jdm/edm headlights?

I have not heard back from the company about the grill, so I emailed another one and we will see what happens then.

In the meantime I did some looking around, and found these links
                      http://www.alumilite.com/
                      http://www.instructables.com/id/Vacuum-Former-2/

Now after viewing this stuff it certainly seems like something i could handle myself. And if I finish some other projects, I would be willing to give this a try, cause it would be considerably cheaper then having someone make it for us.

                      Any thoughts on this?

ive looked into the process of making my own molds myself multiple times. unfortunately, i haven't the the time to put serious devotion towards something like this. but i'd LOVE to none the less

yay you like my idea haha. i'll be doing this to headlights and corners over the winter, vac forming isn't that bad...just gotta take your time and make sure everything is dry!

also its best to have the grill mold suspended with something smaller than it, so the material you're using has a chance to form to the bottom of the grill as well (vs having it suspended via its self and the bottom would not form)

you can use a heat gun to aid with the more difficult areas too!

Well this time the company called shape-master responded and said they could vacuum form the grill, and it will be done in black plastic, but I am still waiting for a quote on it. So maybe by the end of today or tomorrow.
