Well I finally got the quote from the company about the grills:

Quote for: Car Grill Tool and Production

Tooling: $3500.00 - $4000.00
Above tool will produce approximately 100 parts over the
lifetime of the tool. We will need to scan the part for tool construction.
Tooling terms: 100 % with purchase order

20 $180.00 - $200.00 each

Production will be very involved. These parts were previously injection molded, we can
get most of the detail but the parts won't be exact.

I've got an extensive composties background and I've been kicking around the idea of making parts as a sideline business. If someone is willing to lend me a grill so I can make a mold, I'm willing to give it a try. I can eat the cost of making the mold and I think we could proably come in under $300 for CF or Kevlar.
