hey man, any drawings or pics yet? Not so much concerned with strength as I am with being able to position the mount as needed.

        Thanks

I finished welding the rear tabs onto the 'upper' mounts today. That wasn't actually as simple as it looks in the pics. The tab is out of 3/8" thick material with the back milled out at an angle where it overlaps.

Next week I need to machine off a half-moon shape out of that solid block so that it mates nicely with the tube.

I don't think you should have any issues. I'll weld the block to the tube (or not if you don't want me to), but not to the angle. So, you could move it forward over an inch if you needed to.

Yup, after cutting off that rusted bolt/nut and welding on a new nut in its place it worked out perfectly.

did you already buy solid steel for that spacer? you could probably use square or rectangular tubing and it'd be cheaper and easier to notch... and prob just as strong.

                  OOO looking good
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Cool, that will work. I'll just take the frame rail section/tab welded and figure out the rest on the car.
                    Thanks man!

I used a roughing mill cutter that worked great for this purpose. Doesn't leave a smooth/mirror finish, but that's not important for this part as you can't see it. The main reason I went for solid is that the block rises above the angle piece and if I used tubing, there would be nothing to weld to at the top.

                          They're done!

The mounts are done and ready to ship out, so final payments are now due. Please make sure to include your shipping address along with the paypal payment. At the bottom of this post is your coating choice and payment balance. If I messed up, let me know asap.

For those of you who requested powdercoating, I'll be shipping your mounts to Jon on tomorrow. Also, please confirm with him on the color you want and remember that you will pay him the cost of the coating and shipping to you.

Those of you who requested zinc plating, I am dropping those off tomorrow at the plater.

I apologize in advance that some of the weld beads don't look so good - my welder has been acting up.

name / coating choice / payment balance
                          scortadict / black powdercoating / $90 passenger + $100 driver = $190
                          neuspeedescort / zinc / $100 + $60 zinc (pass/driver)= $160
                          SgtRauksauff x2 / zinc and powdercoating / $200 + $60 zinc = $260
                          wheresthericego / black powdercoating / $100
atomicEGT / no coating / paid

                                Hardware

Just for future reference here is the hardware you will get along with the mounts:

                                'Lower' bracket to transmission
                                (3) M10x1.25 30mm long
                                (3) Big M10 washers - slight design flaw I overlooked, the washers are actually bigger than the plate...

                                'Upper' bracket to framerail
                                (2) M10x1.25 25mm long
                                (2) M10 washers, stainless
                                (1) M8x1.25 25mm long
                                (1) M8 washer, stainless

                                Bushing
                                (1) 1/2"-13 4" long, Grade 8
                                (1) 1/2"-13 nut, Grade 8
                                (2) 1/2" washers
