I will if you have any left after the car is up and running. Right now bushings aren't a priority since i've got fresh poly throughout the thing at the moment.

I've gotta focus on the bigger things now. (Getting motor and trans in there, new wheels and tires, etc etc etc)

putting the mx3 length control arms on your car will actually help you put 225 series tires on there, it will help push the wheel and tire farther from the frame, as long as you arent tucking the wheels into the fenders you should be fine, besides that isnt a helpful aspect, just looks

Away from the frame, but towards the fenders, and no farther away from the struts...

The frame wasn't going to be a problem in the first place, though.

Iono, i still need to get under there and figure out just how much room i have to play. The front shouldn't be a problem either way, so there's a good chance i'll grab one anyways.

i asked therieldeal about tires and he ran 225s on the front at the track and they rubbed the frame, not the fenders. either way you have alot of playing around to get them to fit properly

I think his offset was too high, and wasn't that also on his KDWs or whatever?

I'm running 205/60-15s right now on stock EGT rims, bubbled like CRAZY, quite a bit lower than him, with no rubbing at all.

Iono. I'll fit them first, see what i've got to play with, and then probably get these if i've got the room. I'm not scared to roll fenders, but i'm not going to cut anything.

205/60 is HUGE! 225/50r14s will fit in the front no issues, and in the rear with a 10mm spacer...maybe even a 7mm. I only used 6 washers (to figure out spacer requirement) and it was enough to push the rim away from the strut.

I didn't think it would be a big problem. Wheel being used is a 15x7 +40mm.

Wait... you have a Protege. I don't. I think the rear is still going to be a hassle in my case.

Sorry for not responding sooner, was at the track all day with the Volvo testing a driver for the Long Beach Grand Prix---it didn't go well, but I'm still crossing my fingers...I'll measure my sill on Monday and get back to you---to stuff the 245/40/17 on the 17x9's under the car I had to remove a ton of body (check the other touring car thread for pics)

We run a 225/15 on the front of several EGT roadrace cars---we use a small spacer---1/4" I believe to clear the Koni insert in the stock housing, and no spacer for the Ksports...the fender isn't an issue with some camber.

Either DOM or cromoly---not sure on the weight savings---would be more than twice as strong with with no stiction.

What exactly are the changes going to be from a OEM arm in terms of performance increase?

Thanks guys---doesn't seem to be a ton of interest in these, but let's give it some more time. Performance increases---well obvious stuff would be strength and weight---more than that there would be less flex than the stock oem stamped steel plates. Some track width/camber/caster for the escort guys---much less stiction/greater range of motion for the rally guys---probably give a minute amount more feedback to the driver which would be a benefit at the limit of the tires/grip. I would imagine less wheel hop for the drag guys (especially if I put a rod end at the balljoint--then the roll centre correction comes into play which is huge for the roadrace/autocross guys). They'll have 3 swaybar mounting positions so you'll be able to "tune" the front which could be useful to the autocross/roadrace guys---not so much for the rally/drag guys...I guess they have the "coolness factor" as well---I don't know---can anybody think of any other benefit's I've missed???
