install was easy, i have about 2 twists till the rod end is completely in the LCA. everything moves nicely.

There is a whole thread about these LCA's. I know they 'should' work on everything that is the BG chassis. I am unsure about anyone who is 4wd.

That is something I did not check. I have to go out and get shorter bolts, so that should ease some tension. I will check when I go out to the car.

matt that makes no sense @ all.
Changing the length of the bolt has zero effect on the height vertically pushing upwards thats your main concern afterall.

Edit: take both endlinks out. measure the distance from the hole in the LCA when its on the ground to the bottom of the swaybar. that will tell you if your system will work without busting something.

Shorter bolt = swaybar closer to arm, which means it should be brought closer to the "height" of the center mounting brackets when the car is settled.

no. the distance between the swaybar & LCA is based upon the heim joint & the lower bushing. that distance is fixed.

It looks fine on the ground. Checked it before I ran errands. Ryan, the reason I am getting shorter bolts is so that i can use a delrin bushing which is shorter than the urethane bushings. The delrin will be going on the bottom, which in turn will lower the sway bar and ease some tension.

this is how it looks sitting on the ground

I am not understanding your concern ryan with upward tension??? The sway bar is allowed to move up and down from the body mount bushings correct? So what is this tension you speak of?

I have a slightly different theory as to why you broke your ends off. Basically I am thinking it had more to do with using a design of endlink with less/no give to it and the design of the swaybar itself. The BG swaybar is like a piece of flat steel that can easily be bent or broken, but if you turn it on its edge (MX3 sway bar), it takes much more force to do the same thing. You follow me?

I have this feeling if people start breaking swaybars, then a new market may open up for selling a few MX3 front bars.

I bet there's a reason why a lot of "performance" cars use "blade" type arms with a straight bar, rather than just squashing the end of the bar and drilling a hole in it.....

Your probably broke because it was all rusted out Ryan lol

But seriously it could have just broken because it was old, i've seen 626 ones just snap clean in the centre of the bar for no apparent reason on a stock car.
