I think all BP DOHC distys had 4 wires, and SOHC ones had 3. What were your decoder wheel settings Stud?

Also, it's probably best to run off two internal ignitors instead of the external ones but either way will work. Nice score!

How are you mounting the coil pack and where? I am at that point myself.

I'm running the external ignitor, it work fine...

For the wheel decoder setting, I will post it a little bit later today (I'm currently at work..)

And for the mounting of the coil pack, It have 2 tapped hole just beside the disty, so I made a bracket to mount the coilpack and ignitor, I will try to post a pick of that soon...

Great, some pics would be awesome. I just finished modding my MS to have PWM idle, wasted spark, and boost control.

Well my damn USD to DB9 adapter won't work right. I can't get it to connect at all. So I'm just going to try to find a CHEEP laptop with a DB9 built in.

                    I just picked up a $40 laptop with a DB9. So now I don't have to worry about F-ing up Heather's laptop.

is this in your car? If the wiring is correct you are missing the 12V pullup resistor. Look up that install article on the miata site. You need a pullup on the disty signal.

you can use 5 volts from the proto area (or elsewhere) for the pull-up instead... much cleaner voltage. i belive mine is a 520 ohm resistor 5v pull up.
