Is $5000 enough for a GTR swap?

    head work $2000
    High comp. pistons $500 (just an estimate)
    aggressive cams $400 (another estimate)
    fuel system $400 (if the stock system cant handle it)
    Probably need an EMS to tune it all im guessing.

    I doubt im close on the price and things needed done, but is that something close to what you were thinking? I wonder how driveable it would be with a really aggressive cam in there. Am i wrong??

        umm, 400whp does NOT require ANY internal modification to the head or block.

        BIG turbo
        BIG intercooler
        GOOD manifolds
        LOTS of fuel
        LOTS of dyno time
        water or alcohold injection would make it easier.

            I think he meant by way of adding a turbo, rather than staying with Cams and compression.
