how much would it cost (a ballpark figure) to put a turbo on my 1.5L engine and how much hp would I gain by having it? is there anyone who's managed to put a turbo on a stock 1.5L?

I think Essential Speed was woring on or looking into working on a kit for the 1.5L so you may wanna talk to them about it. Theu might have it done already or close to I'm not sure

if you contact thegoldpro he may be able to get u the same manifold he has made, You will have to piece this kit together with an eclipse t25 turbo and all the odd ends yourself. Jon

I would strongly consider some kind of fuel management and an EGT gauge to tune and monitor. Fuel presure is the easy way to adjust fuel but it's also wildly inconsistent and does put more strain on the fuel pump. I would consider an E-Manage or S-AFC II in conjunction with it to dial in the AF mixture on the dyno. I've NEVER seen a car with an FPR for fuel control run very well on the dyno and I've had hundreds of cars on the dyno. It may run, but top end will be pig rich and midrange is usually a bit lean.

How about if you are running a walbro fuel pump(255lph) with a cartech fmu on stock escort GT injectors. I am not looking for insane numbers, just to get it working and reliable for now until i start working so i can put more money in. I hve the safc, but the comp. overrides it at WOT, so thats really only useful for low and mid. BTW im only running 6-8 psi that is set on the wastegate of my VJ-20.
