GTR rods should be able to handle pretty much anything you could ever throw at them. they are heavier than a set of 1100 h-beam rods... but then again they cost half as much

a complete GTR motor is what is really hard to find... you can get brand new GTR rods through corksport for $533:

I just talked to escortkid, he told me his N/A engine is making 221hp and 184 ft-lbs of tq. Peak hp isn't until 8200 RPMs, and peak tq is around 6K RPMS.

IDK if thats at the wheels or crank, I'm assuming wheels.

i watched a thing on tv about street racing and this one kid drove a 4 door integra and he said that he launches at 5k and shifts at 9500


ive always wondered what you could do to a motor that would raise the redline like that

for really high revs you need a light and perfectly balanced rotating assembly, solid lifters, cams tuned for that RPM range, and stiff ass valve springs. among other things

i thought that stroking the BP made it less rev happy? isnt that what escortkid did?

Um no... its just a bored & mildly altered crank... 6 or 8mm don't remember longer rods. look @ flyin miata's charts.... under boost they see that on the stroker kits... but NA naw dude.

i kno mazda and hondas are totally different but if a honday can make almost 300 n/a then i think mazda can make over 200 n/a

there is no way mark puts down 221 hp n/a
