i also saw somewhere that setting up the suspension with a rake towards the front can help. i could easily raise the coilovers in the back an inch or so... worth it?

I wouldn't powershift .... myself, especially not on a first night out. Just make them nice and crisp, your drivetrain has to deal with a lot of torque as is.

Yes, the more weight you shift on the front wheels the better. So raising the back will help do that.

In my opinion I would just roll off the start line like you would from a stop sign. Don't go through the water box run about 20psi in the tires do a short burn out before you go to the start line. With some traction and more boost the car should be able to get into the 12's. Because you haven't drag raced before I would think you are going to be in the 14's as the night progress you might get a 13 out of it. But I could be way off. Have fun and good luck

With my setup I had to launch at 2.5k and slowly go into the throttle till about 4.5k ( thats where I would hit full boost) then shift into 2nd. While in second I could put it to the wood with no wheel spin. All this was done at 14psi. But launching at high rpm's will result in chipped teeth( wheel hope)

i just remembered, i also need to set my camber back to 0 (i love camber plates ). that should help with traction a bit.

Really curious how you'll do. This is pretty much how my car was setup before I started taking it apart for the engine build.

once i get the starter in tonight i have tonight, tomorrow night, and friday morning to retune everything. it was running on 360cc injectors before... now its got 550's so i need to tweak the entire fuel map and get the high boost areas worked out.

ive got to find out if this is allowed, but if it is i'll be removing my drivers side headlight to get some cooler air into my intake. i dont have a turndown into the fender well so after waiting in the staging lines i bet i'll be sucking some pretty hot air...

most places i have been only require one headlight and one tail light.

also another thought, snag up some dry ice to cool down the motor before runs

with my radiator, the coolant temp stays below 200* even when idling. i'm just worried about hot air going into the intake during the run... hood vents would be nice though. i wish hadoken would sell me his hood with gtr vents........

tuning won't take too long if your 360cc map was sound.

I haven't been able to talk him into selling me just the vents yet.

And I voted for 13's. By the end of the night, you'll be in the 13's and I'll be in the 15's. That's my prediction.

holy crap, got the new starter in...

and 15psi is ****ing rediculous. losing traction in 3rd on a dead straight uphill on-ramp... not like shifting to 3rd and chirping the tires... accelerating from 2k in 3rd and losing traction at 5k or so LOL

i say high 13's. i personally think without LSD, you gonna be spinning one of your tires a lot. one tire fire FTW!!
