i'm with jon, you will probably start out in the 14's until you learn the right launch rpm and everything for the night, and slowly progress in the mid-high 13's. maybe even low 13's as the night cools off. can't wait to see the results.

Try dropping your tire pressure, this will not help to gain better traction, but help eliminate wheel hop. In my case, at 32 psi tire pressure, I have real mad wheel hop on a racetrack, dropped it at 18-20psi and eliminate almost all of the wheel hop.

For the time, I guess you should do around mid 13's at 110mph.

wheel hop kills ur trans, i seriously hope that your LSD is well welded up. in all honesty if you feel more comfortable, work the clutch on launch, don't just drop it. easing out of the hole may net a semi lower time, but it'll be worth not having to tow your car home. best of luck Lex take alot of pictures

Thanks Ryan, my LSD is very well welded up. The pin and the ring gear are both welded. I will take it easy on startup because I am only running street tires.

also air UP your rear tires,

less rolling resistance and atleast in my experiences helped with the "buck" from hard gear changes, though you can eliminate that with a good suspension setup

Took her for a hard rip tonight - 3rd and 4th gear to redline WOT to prepare for tomorrow. What a blast! It just pulls and pulls and it's super rich up top. It's in the low 10s A/F. So I pulled some fuel but I still don't have it where I want it and I will tune more at the track tomorrow. Also boost is creeping to 17psi by redline in 4th so it's a little less than what I was expecting to hit. It's better for traction though so I won't up the boost. I'm stoked for tomorrow!

I don't know what my best time are, the only 1/4 miles in my area is on an airport, and there is no time. I'm trapping around 110 mph. To give you an idea, I pass really easily Mazdaspeed 3, I passed a Mitsubishi EVO X, eagle talon (fwd) with 16g evoIII (18 psi of boost), prelude H22a + 100 shot of NOS etc...

For the power i'm making...Between 250 and 300 whp I guess, never ran on a dyno.

A little video with a couple of pass of my car (black 1st gen protege)

                          i'm trapping roughly 110 myself so... you're probably running somewhere between a 12.6 and a 14.0... LOL

its all in the launch when it comes to your ET, so dont get frustrated, especially if you are on street tires.

Well just got back from the track and I'm dead tired so going to bed. I will write more about it tomorrow, and I have some videos as well.

In summary, boost was only 15psi the whole night - I really have to get a better boost controller. With that, I trapped a maximum of 107.4 mph and my best run was a 13.94 at the end of the night. The night started with 14.3x and 102mph. My 60' was a consistent and crappy 2.4-2.5

I tuned the car after each run and pulled fuel up top and speed increased with each run and ETs went down. If I had more runs I would have messed with the crappy boost controller to squeeze more than 15psi.

Overall an awesome night! Car performed flawlessly ... but I certainly have some work ahead of me to get better times.
