    its all in the 60'.

i dont have numbers for the 1/8 because i don't actually run it, but when running the full 1/4 you will find that .1 sec in the 60' equates to .15-.20 at the big end, "generally speaking"

i've found this rule to hold true pretty well, and it is exactly why i'm certain that my car has 11's in it with slicks. my 12.28 pass had a 2.0 60' so if i can knock that down to a 1.80 i should be able to run a 12 flat.

agree. but you're pretty awesome if you can do a 2.0 60" on street tires, not DOT's (jon )

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

drag radials are street tires... right? :D

i did a 1.88 60' at one point on the drag radials. the only time i ever ran at the track on true street tires was the very first time i ever went. it took me 2 of those 3 runs to decide that i was never going to bother again lol.

meh, i guess since they are DOT.

i have a feeling after saturday i won't return to the track till i have slicks. i was already spinning with the old turbo on my street tires.

That makes me an elite driver then : 6.74 @ 111.8 on Hoosier slicks (20 psi boost). Slow 1.70 though, I should be in the mid 1.5s but suspension = teh suck.

And I always marvel at those who try lots of power with street tires and refuse to get slicks...years ago when I was running a 150-shot direct port system, I went 12.7 @ 112 in the 1/4 mile on street tires. 2 yrs later I went 12.8 @ 105 all-motor on slicks...I don't think I'll be going back to street tires any time soon

yeah i always find it amusing when people try to go fast on street tires, like its going to give them 'street cred' or some sort of BS... i went to the track once on street tires, and i'll never do it again. you really drag radials at LEAST.

you wouldnt drive to work every day on drag slicks, so why would you try to drag race on street tires?

I agree with Jon and Dan. Only reason I went on street tires is cuz the seller for my used slicks back out on me. $600 and I'm into some good slicks, but that might be next season.
