i like it, but i just think they could have done something else with the wastegate port, and made it a little more compact... whatld you end up paying, smoke always tells me to get one of these, i didnt think they made them anymore...lol...

I Hope I don't frighten anyone, but a few years ago I purchased a manifold from ETD, It was made for a BP, BUT NOT FOR AN ESCORT OR A BG PROTEGE. I try to install it an believe it or not, it hit my radiator support. I specified the car i had, i called them, told them the problem and they told me i had to pay the shipping there and back(to canada back to florida)...I told them to go F*ck themselves. I did some research and found out it was made for and mx-3 with a BP. They have alot more room, so i sold it on ebay. Be careful with those guys, They don't give 2 sh*ts. They already have a clientel, They don't need us much.

Im not the one to talk because i run a civic rad, no problems at all, but for someone looking to spend less money, it would be wise to do local...or at least near.

im going local for the cost, and the fact ive seen the work the guys done... hes built alot of honda manifolds, along with rad's and fmic's and other projects..... if i had the tig id do it myself, i got more than enough time...lol... im not against the civic rad, but id have to see whats all involved hose wise, im sure it wouldnt take all that much tho... ive just never really seen pics of the hose set ups...lol...

anyways, sorry for the off topic jabber...

I'm going with a Civic half rad either way just so that I can have more space and more air flow, so as long as the half radiator gives enough room, I'll be fine.

Tha civic rad setup is nothing out this world. I had the buttom outlet welded shut and made an outlet directly on the side of the buttom tank, I use the top factory hose and a long hose with a 90degree at the buttom. Back the subject, I will never do business with etd again.

i got my manifold on time. one problem tho it had that cheap coating on it and it was rubbing off like crazy! so i coated it aluminum and looks tons nicer. on mon i went to the shop to have it put on. then as we were working we noticed that the flange on it was for a t2 instead of the vj23 turbo! ahhhh! ( i dunno how i dint see it at first) i was soo furious. so i had to send it off locally to have it redone and they said it will 2-3 days to get it fixed... more down time. great.

thx cee1481, i just have to be a lil more patience i guess. but its repaired and looks great but now some of the paint is jackd up on it. oh well that is an easy fix by me. well im off to check on her and hopefully see some good strong numbers! wish me luck.

i think i should start a build thread instead of getting off topic here lol

well back to some bad news again. We got the manifold mounted w/VJ23 turbo and it will not allow my half civic rad go back in! the manifold relocates the turbo about 3.5in forward and about 3in to the driver side.
i will post pix here in a few mins for all to see.

any feedback as to what i should do would also be great. at this point im thinking of getting another manifold made locally and everything else will stay the same vs getting a custom radiator made and still have to do some minor changes around it.

Dam, that sucks! Any way you could have your local shop modify the etdr manifold to be shorter so it's not a total loss? Sounds like it would only fit in a MX3 the way it is right now.
