yup, they run boost that is unheard of in gas engines

You know what i love about 4 cylinders in general... there complete lack of torque.. how you have to have the thing at WOT just to get up a hill.. it really makes it great.. or you can get a V8, have it at half throttle, and do a burnout up the hill

the torque is calculated (not measured) from HP and RPM ... so that is why torque is so high, but even so, they can be made to be quite quick.

I drive a 2001 VW TDI regularly, and with a few mods it can be quite quick ... if you dont mind the smole

duh! torque CAN be measured, it nothing more than a moment. I have to deal with this EVERY day... statics is teh suck!

I was talking about a dyno. On a dyno, hp is measured and torque is calculated. Torque can't be measured directly.
