Again, I don't see that as proof. I drive fast in corners, especially coming onto the freeway. I usually throw my car into them to see how I can do whether there's someone to race or not. If I had a car like that I would do it even more. And I think there are very few people who would buy that sort of car unless they liked to drive fast. Therefore, it could easily have been coincidence.

That's what I told my dumbass friend who put a supercharger on a V6 mustang. He told me he would be able to beat a stock GT in the 1/4, and I replied, yes, but what if you put that supercharger on a GT? Then you could beat stock cobra's in the 1/4mi, it's all relative. All cars have performance potential, but some have much more than others....

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. I wasn't saying I go all out and give it everything the car has... I was just saying I drive fast. I would probably drive faster in a car with that much power, because I wouldn't have to push it as hard to go the same speed. I'm sure he was driving fast through the turn, I just have a hard time believing he was giving it everything he had.

Lets review some specs and figures on this one

You said the escort was running the BP

Thats about 125 hp / 114 tq to the crank through a 5 speed

Through drivetrain loss, lets just say it makes 100 hp to the wheels

And weighs in at around 2300 pounds


Now the Evo on the other hand

Im just gonna assume it was a regular evo, not a RS or MR

277 HP / 286 Tq to the crank through a CLOSE RATIO 5 speed

Through drivetrain loss, im just gonna round down and say 220 hp to the wheels

And Weighs 3200 pounds


Your car weighs about 1 thousand pounds less then a evo, but the HP and TQ still dont really seem up to the job, just considering with a very good driver, the evo can be a 12 second car bone stock, and dont even throw out the turbo lag story, because the EVO has been designed EXTREMELY well, and has almost zero turbo lag, they cut in down low pretty strong and run 19 psi stock
