That supra was probably running the Chevy tranny. I have read that a lot of the fast supra guys are running those trannies, b/c the factory 6spd sucks.... this is one guy's setup on a hotrod forum. Regardless of opinion, a "street" Supra is considered "slow" for the massive dyno numbers they make, not drag, chevy trannied hybrids, but actual "street" Supras. There is no need to argue with all of us, don't worry about, you don't own a Supra so don't concern yourself so much. Just be happy you got a cool MX-3

    98 Supra
3.4 Stroker, Custom 272/292 degree cams, HKS GT3037S, 1600cc Bosch Injectors, NOS 150HP direct port nitrous system on WOTM manifold
    on and on...
TH400 w/ gear vendors OD and a 9 inch rear.
    Installing cage now!!
Dynoed at 1038 RWP with no NOS at 30PSI

No ones getting defensive or hostile its just to sit here and say a supra isnt fast but an rsx is, is just plain stupid. I have seen many videos of fast ass supras, some at the track some on the streets, but i will make sure to post them as i find them again online. I'm not wrong man, supras can move from a dig and even more from a roll. They make good numbers and they do put it down to the ground. You guys sat here saying 1000hp supras run 12's, but the video i posted is runnin 8 secs on drag radials trappin higher than our cars top speed and you guys can only sit here and talk **** about it. Its like you guys look for the negative remarks against everything. Please post me some videos of 1000 hp supras running 12s, hell.....even 11's.

When did anyone say a supra wasnt fast??? Im just giving the owners hell! It's a big joke with the supra guys to say that they are running 1000+WHP and still only in the 12s. Its not every supra, it's just a freaking joke holy ****. Tell any supra owner that joke, they will know!

I know exactly what supras are capable, hell I know what a ****ing geo metro can be capable of if one has the money. Supra's aren't the "GOD" of all cars like you are making them out to be. Yes they are impressive, yes they are sexy, yes they are faster in about every aspect of racing than our protege's (cept maybe braking). But ****, chill out.....everyone knows what a supra can do!
        Eat ****.

Its not that its a bunch of negative remarks, its just that they seem to lack the 1/4 mile #'s for the HP that they make.

I never said that the RSX was fast (certainly not in comparison to a supra by any means ) To me a supra is more of a show car... You can make big power, but they are not something I would want to risk driving around...
The T3 BP MX-3 conversion has begun, and is taking forever & will kill me.

come on you guys know better than that, Supras DON'T STICK A **** !!! they have NO traction on street tires that's a FACT.

with 1000hp on tap you will stomp a LOT of things and with a good suspension setup you'll make wonders, look guys 1/4 mile time isn't everything !!!

This almost looks like you guys vowe by 1/4miles time only... Everycar is different, It has always been knowed that Supra are not THAT great on the 1/4, not everyone wants to invest on a FULL 1/4 optisation, bah f**** this.......
I've driven a single turbo Supra, it was fun, but you could only get on it after you were already at highway speeds. So if they are not good for 1/4 what are they good for? And don't say autox/twisties because we both know that is not the case. They are boats and can't handle for **** unless you throw thousands at the suspension.

Supras are the most overated cars ever released. It is ricer fanboys of the Fast and the Furious that has made them popular. The only thing they are good for is sitting in a parking lot with huge body kits, wings, and chrome wheels. That seems to be the only use they get around here in Knoxville.

So tell me, what was the point of your post? To solidify the Supra as the ultimate roll racer?

On a side note, I absolutely love the MKIII Supras. Good looks, decent speed, and they don't demand ridiculously high prices.

If the MKIII looks like this one, than those are the only Supra's I like as well. The last gen is too big and fat looking,.... I like the boxier, more muscular look, makes the car seem more agressive

Yeah that is the body style. These are a few pictures of my friend's Supra that he is trying to sell. Hell of a car for a little over $4000.

Yep, for the money I think those cars are a much better deal, and better looking, than the newer overplayed model... If I ever buy a supra it'd be one of those . I saw one of those somewhere with a LT1 in it, pretty cool, even if it's a hybrid.

Hey McCorkle, since we are waaaayyy off-topic already, how much does Xbox live cost total, with hardware, installation (if there is any), and subscription fees? I don't have DSL right now, but just wondering if it might be worth it in the future...

Xbox live, wtf? even if we were off topic, atleast the topic was car oriented

And are those the supras that blow head gaskets every 10 thousand miles or whatever and are a PITA?
