they actually have decent low end, because its a 2.5L, the new RS (GDC chassis) is changing to "2.5i" too, I guess it goes along with the corporate nomenclature or something, personally I like RS.

Iuno, they are actually more like 15 second cars, and if none of you believe me go and look around on the forums to see what an average driver puts down with them stock. Were not talking about car and driver magazine test drivers times, but even if you wanted to use that they still only ran a 14.9 with the rsx-s. I raced one when i was all motor bp in my mx-3 and i beat him by like half a car. I was rollin down the main street and i see this rsx with the jdm wing and lowered and white wheels with a polish lip. I catch up to him going about 35 and he tempts me to run. I drop it into second as does he and i pulled him by half a car and i was still goin. I heard the vtec kick in, and blah blah blah, but i still won. I already know there are those non believers, but my friend always says this quote and its "my lugnuts require more torque than your honda makes." I say race him and find out, driver plays important role. There are still some really fast hondas out there i must say though.

Interesting. I guess I'll have to race my friend when I finish the BP swap... and shut his mouth! Haha...

Go for it, my car is a bit lighter than yours though, that may make a difference. He still shouldnt blow the doors off you, i'm guessin the 2nd gens weigh about 2600lbs?

yeah its faster then my mx6...but my car has alot more usable/daily driving power.

i never have to down shift to get her moving. that rsx had no low end power, and the midrange wasnt that great either.
so yeah in a race its faster, but mine is alot nicer for everyday driving.

oh yeah....that was with my klde....

i retract my statement about it being faster LOL kuz: ZE>K20

but yeah, im sure if went from a stop with ur BP/mx3 he would kill you (assuming the driver was good), because i know my mx6 would take a BP in a mx3. and the rsx put about 2 and half cars on me meh

but then again, you never know

                          well.....I raced him.

I was pretty disappointed with his car. It wasnt anything I thought it would be. Here's how it went down:

Race #1 we go from a light. I launched hard and put like 1/2 car on him and held that lead up until 3rd, then he slowly started inching me. I hit 4th and he barely pulled me and got like a bumper on me. We were doing about 100 or so...so we shut it down.

                          I wanted another....

#2 Same thing, but this time I held my lead. We only went through 3rd, but I was about 1/3 car in front of him.

#3 from a 30mph roll. I dropped into 2nd and we were like dead even up until 4th AGAIN, and he started to SLOWLY inch me.

He's a member of a local rsx club, and thought he hasnt taken his own car to the track, he says the stock type s are usually running anywhere from 15.4 to like 15.0 up here at altitude. He'd prolly beat me in the 1/4 because I end the 1/4 in 4th.
After that race Im gonna guess and say my car would prolly run 15.2s or so!
Anyhow, Im not scared of rsx's anymore...lol
