10-12 ga should be good actually its alittle overkill but most 14ga automotive wire is actually smaller than they should be

what I'm doing over the weekend is probing the VAF at fully opened to check the voltage and then keep the probe @ the ECU and go for a drive...I think the VAF door is just being tossed around by the turbo lol.

When I very first started driving this car, I had problems with boost cut. Back then, it was my VAF not being oriented properly for the spring mechanism to function. (as if I haven't said that a hundred times in past posts) I fashioned a piece of wood as a kind of mounting surface to keep the VAF level but in truth, it's gehto BS. I need to made something permanent and proper to hold the VAF level and stationary to make sure it's working like it should.

Lex was talking about VAF adjustment back then so I farted around with it a bit. Not measuring voltages and not having air/fuel mix ratios to guide me was like trying to pin the tail on the donkey. A stupid waste of time. Eh it wasn't a complete waste. I did get a glimpse of one of the methods by which these motors are tuned.

I do need to replace that wire though. On a separate note, I noticed when I was working on the B4pro that the B8 harness was not nearly as robust as the BP 05 harness.

Post back with what you find. I'm curious.

I helped bcowie with a GTX swap and we simply re-pinned his B6 harness to run the 4th disti wire and 4th tps wire (also move the tps wire @ the ecu), and that was that lol. GTX ECU with a B code VAF.
