FL isn't a bad idea................the only problem is that it's stuck in the corner.

I try to choose locations that are more centralized in order to make it fair for everyone. That will usually draw the biggest crowd.

You don't see me trying to get people to come up to New England. Last meet, I drove 20 hours each way.

East, central, and west is a good idea.

I was hoping for at least 50.

          now... i know i'm crazy...

but i just had this idea.

and it involves the fact that there is a 1/4 mile dragway in Bowling Green... which appears to be about 1 hour south of the lake we are camping at...

            Thats the ticket!

Maybe if we call em up ahead of time and have proof we are from ClubProtege we can get a "get in" discount. Seeing as how there are like 15+ people going? (if that ends up happening)

Beechbend was specifically a no go for camping @ jon, david had his campsite raided & his tent stolen. I also guess the owner was not a very respectable upstanding person either. nobody from CP wants issues like that.

anyone who wants to drag is more then welcome, i personally know i won't be, too far from home to have anything go wrong

Please we can do better than that....

That place is too Redneck, and lawless.

My **** was unlawfully taken and the only law enforcement is the local Sheriff which is elected and too afraid to hurt someones feelings, I won't be caught dead racing there either, cheat like sombitches! The facts were all in their faces, theft by unlawful taking, over $300. Simply, in KY it is a jail able offense, the perpetrator didn't even receive a citation.

The Sheriff in town, is named Peanuts Gaines. This Guy is a blantant joke,
How in Hell can anyone possible take a person serious with a name like that in law enforcement?

There are other tracks in Kentucky of respectable character. Clay City Drag strip is a fun track, operated honestly. That is the only track there however. It is funny as hell to see an EGT dust a Mustang GT! Awesome!!

That's a do another year maybe. It's located in the Red River Gorge Recreation area or the Daniel Boone Nation Forest.

Ky has much to offer us, and we have too much to lose to to gamble with a place that I have learned more of the same trash on, I have recently learned this has been going on there since back in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

In the case you guys don't know, I'm a Retired Ky Peace Officer, and I'm here to tell all this is a haven for rouges, and vagrant trailer trash. The rules that are posted are flagrantly violated my many patrons.

We are a group with class, not prudes, but this is a place I'm more than ashamed to say is a place I wanted to play when I was a kid and did go a couple times. It's also 35 miles to where I grew up. Ky is my home, it not easy for me to say negative things of my beloved home area. I will not have my friends subject to this kind of stupidity, with out much conversation.

To make this trip for some of us is what last year was for me, a much needed simple trip to vacation, I would like others to have half the enjoyment I had from the time I left the freeway to Devil's Lake until I had to leave that Monday Morning.

There is a Karaoke Pizzeria near the Dam, I would like to Own it the Friday night we are there.

                Common Sense!
The County is Dry, no alcohol sales as I recall. I ask that we use common sense and not raise hell after 8:30 of so. So the beer that might be in trunks etc. won't bust us all. And that means kozzman 555 and I can't keep fist fighting after dark either, lmao.

                Man it ain't June yet!

Remember it is owned by a sole proprietor and this guy is a true choad stick,
he doesent even enforce the rules he posts and when his gate keeper ask the race car drivers to follow the rules and they tell him no, the owner says let it go. This is breeding for a habor of rouges!

I'll go with you guys, I'll get in trouble if I go alone. I don't play well with redneck thugs! lmao

I'll go with caution. Only cause of you guys.

It is an hour and a half drive from RRL. And not even a straight shot from RRL.

This is why I was so looking forward to Beech Bend working, everything was close to something.

Safety of our members is paramount, my rule of thought in a group is FUN, also the first three letters of FUNERAL.

We can't ever play safe enough. Ask Ryan, even I take chances. I climbed the damn rocks up the south face of the little mount at Devil's lake. Then the next day Took to the tail to the Windows, where Ryan did the Crane on a pedistal like rock with a shear drop over 200 feet below. (Spiderman!)

I know challenges and bending envelopes. I should not be alive from some of my old stunts...even if not for my age in comp to most of you young guys.

I will say for the men I have met on CP I'm impressed so far as the wisdom and class aquired for your age. I'm old as dirt and still learning stuff, and prolly should not be alive according to this photo...that's my mug on Abe's right looking all cool, been smoking smack with Chief Cheeripopa!

I like the Train Idea for tracking the incoming members to North Fork.

Each train can travel and take a 'wing man' that take a wing man and onto a leader to communicate travel progress to 'Base camp', North Fork.

This has already been thought of I'm sure, but just a thought.

i think the trains are going to stop at your house lol. being since half of the caravan are going to, no point to split up for a stop. might as well keep it as a big group. make video recording even better.

i can volunteer myself and my camcorder for some video of the train and the antics that go on. then possibly do some editing and make a dvd of the meet
