I'm not worried about a cel at the moment as long as it doesn't damage the engine. I'm low on cash (obviously, lol) until next check so I need to limp it around on the DE stuff for now. I'm guessing it doesnt make full power on these parts either..?

How much do KL31 or KL36 ECU's sell for in the US??? I know I can get a KLDE one for around $150NZD but never checked price on the ZE ones. If they are expensive in the US I could try and get you one here if that helps......I could swap it into my car before shipping to check....just a thought if it helps out.

Yeah I've located a kl36 and a je50 vaf but don't have the money at the moment. If he still has it in a week or so I'll have both.

Also, no you won't get the full 200hp using de ecu and vaf

yea it'll have different fuel maps and vris points, also a few other differences (egr...ect).

car will run fine tho, should only throw a few CELs like shawn said.

why dont you get the probinator chip instead of the ecu? you won't need the je50 maf or anything, it'll work with your DE maf and ecu (if its able to be chippeD)

Hmm so i'm probably not making full power on my ZE since i'm using the DE ecu, maf, etc. even though since i removed all my VRIS that part wouldn't make any difference to me

i really got some work done today. pulled the motor and took off most of the things i need for the ZE except my gutted p/s pump and alternator. i cleaned the bay and gave it a fresh coat of white. when it dries in the morning im going to spray some clear with sparkles in it for that extra zing! lol
