gracias, well this might be helpful for people swapping in a BP. turbojace got ahold of me and had some questions about the mounts. Here are some pics of the mounts that i used. The passenger side mount is a 90-94 1.8l bp protege. The driver side mount is an engine mounting kit that i purchased from corksport.

this picture shows the mount on the lower crossmember

good enough for the girls i date

Thank you for the info! I've been sitting on my BPT project for years, and have been slowly collecting data and pics for the swap. Now, if I can get a place to do the work.... heh.

I like this pic, thats definitly the right way to do it! I used the big hammer method

It worked well. I used a piece of rectangular steel box, cut it in half and modified that profile to fit. I was told previously though that this may cause rust in the frame rail down the road.

Have you thought about de-powering the rack to clean up the hoses and pump area?

You know i thought about it while i was doing the swap, but i could not find enough information on doing that. Do i need to seal oil in the rack, or leave it dry? I don't really need the PS....

Alright well my electronically inclined mechanic has my EBC working well, no more boost spikes and says the car is running really strong!!! I cannot wait to get back behind the wheel and get this thing on the road. I will post some driving videos once i get her back

I think Flyin Miata has a how to on the rack...looked pretty easy when I went thruogh it.
