the cam gears have a I and E on them, the service manual says to align the I for the intake side at 12.

And Align the E for the exhaust side at 12 also.

There was red paint on the cam gears also from where the previous owner had done the timing and made his own marks, but i hand spun the motor over a good 5-6 times to make sure its not getting snagged up on anything, or hitting anything just to be sure.

      Things are looking pretty sweet!!

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

B6T's are non interference so even if the timing is out the engine will still spin over fine, easiest thing to do is cut the plate in half through the cam holes then you can slide it in time the motor then slide the plate back out :D

Thanks Guys im in NC right now and will be back in a few days.

My Vj11/14 is being built right now, and it should be back friday then i can start to assemble the exhaust part, along with a new coolant bypass pipe.

Then its off to wiring, i dont know much about the wiring because my resources are limited, so whenever RJ isnt busy he'll log into FF.com and do some reading.

                          Update 6-7-2011

I got my turbo back from Mike Turbo Inc. in Miami. I sent them my Vj14 and a Vj11 comp wheel and housing to make me a Vj11-14 Hybrid. They charged me 250.00 bucks to rebuild it and make a hybrid!

                          heres some turbo porn!

Hong and Mike at Mike turbo did my hybrid too. Most of their vj11's and vj14's came from my friend. I wanna see this in person when its done. If you need any b6t parts let me know. I'm in hallandale and me and my friend have a slue of parts for those motors.
