There is a PnP MS for the BF check out DIYautotune I believe its under the Bosch 52 pin socket

I'd thought about adapting Honda stuff as well but its the same amount of work and perhaps a bit easier for the MS, not what you want to hear i suppose, but I've opted for MS where the stock ECU has run out of room

thanks for the info, i will check it out. if there is a PnP option for the b6t, i would rather go that way then rigging a harness, even one as simple as a honda harness.

edit: found it, Nippon Denso 52 pin.. cost is $425.00 for the basic unassailable unit with batch fire, etc......

no, but its an opinion that was asked for. only thinking about it, though, isnt waht i wanted to hear. really wanted to see if anyone had actually tried it.

if your familiar with honda tuning, you know that most sensors can be shut off or ignored. only the sensors in the distributor, map, vss, oil pressure and tps are required to be there, others can be shut off in most software on the market.

after dealing with most major brands i found that honda and toyota have the least about of "crap" parts. often having the same OE parts for 150k+ miles, other then obvious replacement parts (brakes, tires, axles, clutch if it has one). only real thing that i find mazdas have better then the others, is the seats. they just seem to last, at least the ones i have come across when compared to honda, toyota, mitsu, etc.

my BF = seats are worn, but basically still there and in good shape (other then the dirt)
my ED7 (civic hatchback)= driver seat is torn to parts like a dog ate it.

funny that most honda guys try to understand other brands as well as their own..... just saying

That was what we call a joke. Hey, I'm here, right? Wait 'til you see the mighty "GTXtra" that Im building. I daily drive a '99 2.5RS and my team just sold our '04 STi road race car to pick up a Spec Miata + an RX-8. My original infatuation was with Fords (Mustangs and Escort Cossies). I'm currently developing fueling systems for Nissan GTRs. That's right on the heels of my Lotus Exige work. Most of my revenues come from the E46 M3 crowd. I've rallied VWs, Audis, Subarus, Dodge, and Mazdas over the years.

Honda? -not so much. Aside from lurking on Honda Tech I just haven't been there, really. I'm interested, though.

i know this will work because i have seen it done on a b6t. the guy used a honda distributor which fits perfect in the original hole and also wired in the appropriate honda sensors to work. saw this at the time i bought my kl and that was about a year ago.

I've done some research on this swap for a toyota motor I'm playing with and I'm pretty much set on it. Bang for the buck it can't really be beat if you're planning on using it to it's full potential.
