That makes sense if it's just oem.

Not sure yet but I doubt it, I'd rather break traction than a trans. It's just a weekend tinker car. It would probly be more money time and aggravation to do just to find the parts, trying to find a spare motor for it for right now I'll need it eventually with the way I run it

I'm assume ing any b6 clutch will work? It will probly get an act 6 puck

I would not be the person to ask, but I think the gtx has a gtx specific flywheel so you need a clutch for a gtx. You might be able to get an aftermarket flywheel for a 323 gt and run a regular miata clutch, though im not sure.

Did you remove the driveshaft & just let the rear end run free?

Tweety any hope in bringing it back to AWD?
Yes I simply removed the driveshaft and left the rear end in.

No, not "Any B6" clutch will work. It has to be for the turbo. The clutch is also common with the 323 GT, Capri XR2, some of the FWD BP stuff, and the Probe GT/MX6 2.5L v6

The flywheel is not specific to the GTX. You can use a Fidanza aluminum flywheel made for the Escort GT

I would recommend a full-face disk instead of the 6puck

I would go with full face but the 6 puck in my brothers Honda is pretty nice and I like the way it feels

Did you use anything to cap off the rear end? If not will it hurt anything inside of it

I simply unbolted the driveshaft from the pinion flange, there should be no issues the way it is.
