I assisted my friend in acquiring & installing a Greddy tdo5 18G turbo & external wastegate on his 323 GT over weekend.

    Here the pictures.

    Items acquired for this upgrade.

    T2 exhaust flange.
    EMUSA external wastegate.
    2 iron elbows.
    Greddy TDO5 18G turbocharger.
Pipe to connect to existing exhaust system.

The b6t manifold was modified to use the t2 flange and the external wastegate flange.

    EMUSA external wastegate.

Pipe used to connect to the existing exhaust system. By month end the current exhaust system will be upgraded to a full 2.5" exhaust system.

As can see from the pix the current oil return line needs to be addressed, so a proper oil return line will to be installed.

Last night I decided to pull out the coil plugs and inspect the spark plugs. Boy did I find something! Spark plug #4 was corroded all around. I immediately went to the local Advanced Auto Parts, before they closed, and got 4 new Denso Platinum TT spark plugs. I also deleted the cruise control mechanism that the prior owner had installed. It was an add-on standalone system that was easy to remove without affecting anything else. Went out for a drive right after I was done and noticed how smooth the revs were. Also noticed a bit more strength when boosting.

I bought a new honeycomb GT/GTX grille to replaced the one that got broken in my lil' accident several years ago. Won't put it on until later, but at least I have one again! :D

            Yeah.... off of ebay.

Also got a shift knob from an early 90's Subaru Legacy that fit my short shifter perfectly. Love it. Got to find another one for my son's MX-6GT.

Installed my recently overhaul bpt engine and a ACT clutch disc for the gearbox.

Do you have any pics of the motor mount locations? I'm trying to get an idea of what it's going to take to get the BPT in mine.

I used the b6t engine mount bracket on the bpt instead of the bpt engine mount bracket and mill down a little part of the intake manifold so that the bracket could bolt up properly to the bpt engine block. That's all you will need to swap/mod to mount the engine. I used the bf 323 gt gearbox on the bpt engine and the gearbox mounts in the stock location without any issues. The bpt block is wide than the b6t so I had to modify the inner axle hanger for it bolt up securely to the block. This mod does put the cam gear side of the close to chassis leg thus making it a little hassling when changing the accessory belts. Other from the bracket swap and milling a small part of the manifold it's a pretty much straight forward swap.

Here are the pix of the bpt with the b6t engine mount bracket installed.

Test fitted a Holset WH1C to my bpt. Not sure that's the route I will be going as I am still contemplating installing a evo 8 turbo. Most likely I will run the holset for now until I get all the parts to install the evo 8 turbo.

Comparison pic of my previous turbo Master Power T3/T4 (same as Garrett) v/s Holset WH1C.

Thanks for the pics/info! I already have the B6T engine mount on my BPT, so hopefully mounting the AWD gearbox won't be as difficult as I was expecting. I'm using the BPT trans mount brackets with the b6t mounts.

Jason the BPT AWD tranny is going to tilt the motor to the front and you are still using the B6T right side mount?

Unless you are using the BF gearbox.

I used the b6t fwd box on my swap, so I did not have to modify the gearbox brackets. I also modified the mount bracket by slotting so the cam gear side of the engine could adjust closer to the front right chassis leg so that the gearbox mounts will line properly with their mounting points on the cross member.

If you look closer in the pic you will see that is it's slot to allow some movement.

Yes. I was told over the yahoo group to use the B6T engine mount when doing the swap to pull it closer to the right side. Will that not work with the BPT gearbox installed?
