    Si' Senor`...

Is this Terry? If so, I still have a main power harness upgraded for you... After 323performance died I lost all track of everyone/everything.

thanks terry... been in/out since I bought the WRX Wagon for the daily driver. Not a lot of time to wrench on my stuff now that I am back to turning wrenches for a living.

I was over 2 the storage unit this weekend, looking at the Tracer languishing on a wooden cart w/o any suspension, engine, or trans... poor girl never really got a chance to put any miles down when the first built B6T went south.

I feel ya, man. The GTX has been sitting under a car cover for ages; it only gets taken out on the odd weekend.

I'm still scraping up to get my wheels straightened and all shiny. As soon as that's done, I'll be trolling for autox events.

But, feel free to stop on by anytime. I'm rocking the stock wheels with snow tires, which can be outright scary as hell.

Installed a short shifter in my GTX, BEST investment ever!!! With the brass endlinks on trans side shifting feels great
"See that car, in the 80's that car was deadly." Random man to his son while passing the GTX in a parking lot

Since November my car has become a bit more demanding on my time, I guess that is a function of age and the fact it is daily driven and now has over 220,000 miles on it now.

In the 9-years I have owned this car, it has left me stranded only once...until November, when the alternator gave out on the way to work and I had to have the car flat bed back
home...so that makes it twice in 2 years it has broken down on the side of the road.

So in went a new alternator.

2 weeks later the left side CV outer boot ripped and sprayed grease everywhere, while I was changing it I noticed my ball joints and tie rods looked "suspect", so changed those as well (both left and right sides).

Then sadly while I was under the car, replacing the suspension I noticed the left floor pan looking "soft" with the mortifying rust stain...within an hour of cutting-out the rust out I had this hole:

It was very isolated as the rest of the car's floor pan is solid...a new piece of sheet metal was welded in right away and then re-finished, in this picture below this was the first pass so the welds are ugly and not ground down:

Then for fun I also installed some Hella horns..no more feminine horns:

It is a flaw in how Mazda designed the floor pan, moisture collects and rots out this area, I have seen it on numerous BF chassis cars. My car has always lived in dry climates and been garaged for most of the 9-years I have owned it.

Link to the Hella Horns (one of many online):

I had to fix my steering rack tonight. I was getting a clunk in the steering and I thought it was an inner tie-rod. Once I got in there the tie-rod was fine, but the steering rack guide bushing had come apart. I got some rough measurements and turned a new bushing out of Delrin. Everything is back together now.
