I'd just run a single catch can setup off the PCV valve to the valve cover.

I haven't had the need for one though, as I run a b6t PCV valve (boost friendly).

Hooking it up to the inlet will create a LOT of vacuum, so it could end up pulling oil from the engine (at least that's where my mind is going right now lol, really tired tho)

You'll have to explain lol You mean PCV to the intake? and how is it 'Boost friendly" I can see how it'd be a lot of vacuum in the inlet pipe...it's just so confusing! If I just run it from the pcv to the intake it'll work fine until you're under boost then I heard the fresh air tube becomes the outlet when under boost...but idk. I don't think it can be done lol

this should be the right way to set your oil catch can ( diagram may Not be to spec Drew it fast )

While waiting on my piston ring end gap filer I started putting in some gauges. I got a universal gauge pod and molded it up to the pillar. Here's how its going so far.

Yep, heat guns are awesome lol and a dremel. The universal one was way too wide so I had to cut some off. After I get it fitted perfectly I'm gonna countersink some little spots ad put in flat headed screws and little snap caps to cover the screws. Hopefully turns out well. "Clean" is my objective in everything I do. What was is about the gauge pods that you got sick of? The bright light in your face? Maybe I can wire it into the dimmer from the regular gauges.

Reemeber while fileing the piston rings you want to barely file them to get them to fit the less you file them the less chance of getting blow by from over fileing them etc

Yeah I'm gonna file them to the Wiseco spec for moderate street turbo lol bore diameter x 0.0050 top ring and bore diameter x 0.0055 second ring.

yea i forgot he got the turbo pistons but for stock pistons and rings you file them just enough to fit to help eliminate blow by

Even then, you file them to spec...

Well this was a fun filled day. I finally got my ring end gap filer and I start checking the ring end gaps. Number one cylinder I take the top ring>put it in the cylinder>square it up with the piston>check the end gap with a feeler gauge>Oh it needs some off...so I start filing the end gap (bore diameter x 0.0050) for moderate street turbo according to Wiseco. The end gap should be 0.016" top ring and 0.018" second ring. I get the top ring to spec and I place the second ring into the cylinder...what's this? 0.018" too small, 0.019" too small, 0.020" too small...all the way up to 0.025" end gap...I didn't file a shed off the second rings and they were that big (way too big for a moderate turbo build, or even a big turbo for that matter) according to the Wiseco spec sheet 0.025" end gap is bigger than a full blown nitrous race motor. It's either the bore being wrong (I'd be pissed) or the rings...so I'm gonna call Wiseco after I call my machine shop tomorrow...ugh
