    JACK.

If you're getting this thing already ZEd with minor bolt ons, i'd check it over for oil leaks, fix those, then work on LSD...that'll cut a good second off your 1/4

you ahve got to be jocking?! My K8 was much heavier then the bp.. i can lift the bp alone... the k8 flipped over our cherry picker it was so heavy and two of us could barely lift it... it has to weight at least 100 lbs more

MX-3 GS V6- swap in a KLZE or KLDE

Mx-3 RS 4CYL-swap in a BP or BPT

      Thats how we do....

So is it possible to put the v6 into a RS?? Cause i have a RS and a V6 engine.....

Yea, youd just need everything under the hood. It would just be easier to do a BP swap because I think all the 4cyl wiring is already there.

BTW, that guy blew me off, guess he wanted to keep his MX so Im lookin at a different one rofl. MX3s are so common eh. Black, needs hood/front bumper, and the tranny is blown.

PS, it already has a BP. Any info on trannys for it for sale let me know!!(and front bumpers/hoods)

that looks like a pic of a b6, not a BP.

might be a 2nd gen BP after looking at the intake manifold though. If it is, you should get it as thats a great platform to start on... EC with BP ftw.

How to tell if it really is a BP? Cast numbers or something? Let me know so I can ask the seller.

the motor in the black one is a b6 d, the 94-95's came with a dohc 1.6 in the rs i believe.

This is not the original motor.

"Car has a low mileage JDM DOHC motor in it that was just installed about 6 months ago and has not had any problems whatsoever. The motor is very clean. I was told it is a BP motor and it has BP stamped on the block but it doesnt have the same valve cover as the US BPs that I always see. I'm thinking maybe because it is a Japanese motor but I'm no 4 cyl expert so any info you need to tell what motor this is I will give you if you ask."

From the seller. So I just wanted to dbl/tripple check before I go ahead and buy it. I gotta find a way to get the car home though, trannys DEAD! =0

                    noooo its not.

JDM/2nd gen BP (what you are looking at above):

                    MX3 b6d:

note the differences in the manifolds, both intake and exhaust.

the valve covers on the b6 and bp are different also.. the bp center chanel where the plugs go in is all flat... the b6 has noches in it that stick out

Thanks for the response but i have one more question.

Is the back mount on the v6 in a different position than the orginial mount in the rs model? i.e is the back engine mount in the rs model on the crossmember and the back mount in the gs model a little higher up??

refer to my v6 swap thread in the swap section. it works the same with the mx3. U need the crossmember, and the passenger side mount.

why do you need a crossmember? the only difference in the crossmembers on mx-3s are the 92-93 v6 has 4 holes to install the transverse member and the I4 models don't but the 94-95 crossmembers have all the hoels weather v6 or I4 but the I4 just have them plugged...

or do you mean the engine support member (also called engine mounting member) but even that looks identicle.... i have both and have looked at them side by side and can't find a difference
