The Factory aspire struts are the correct type, I just rotated the bottom end 90 degrees. I'll try and get some pics of what I mean. you can use mitsubishi mirage struts too. you'll have to add your strut hat though. The strut location is not critical to the suspension geometry so you could mount them just about anywhere they fit.2011 BMW 128i 6 Speed Manual -- dd

If you are going ls1, i would use 2x3 box steel or some thick dom tubing for the rear subframe. A bone stock ls1 will turn our car into pretzels. Ive owned a high hp ls1 car and it cracked my windsheild without subframe connectors.any extra frame rigidity would help.1995 escort wagon gtr/holset

I'm buying parts i don't need, With money I don't have, To impress people I don't know.
Some people are like slinkies. They're not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

The Idea of the L33 V8 has been canceled. Its overpowered for what I'm using it for and there is no way I'm spending $2,000+ on just drivetrain parts. So its back with the BP and a tube chassis. I'm aiming for something like this:
Today I will be picking up a Miata 5spd transmission ($60) So far I have spent $160 for a complete rear end and transmission, you can't beat that! In a few days I will get a little bit more organized and start a new official thread. I'm very exited for this!

I made some progress today. I got a 5spd transmission from a Miata ($60!) and finished tearing up the car for the most part. I don't like typing too much I like pics so here are some
This is how it started today
Got this far
