That's true. I didn't consider that, lol. Still looks do-able though.
Before you criticize someone, first try walking a mile in their shoes. Because then you'll be a mile away, and you'll have their shoes...

The plan is to rip out the stock floor and build a full frame chassis. I'll be buying a mandrel bender soon (after Christmas), so I can build it my own.

OK officially confused... LS1 ... Miata trans... am I missing something? or are you running the BP instead

BTW the shifter at that spot might be kind of nice in the MX. your tunnel will be a lot higher when your done. But you can always throw in a couple of 90's and a few inch extension forward.

Yes confusing, fe3 now lol. The shifter will be in the perfect spot, the car should be a perfect 50/50 weight ratio According to where my engine, seats, gastank, and rear end will be

haha nice! I have been contemplating a RWD FE3 as well. are you going JDM FE motor or KIA?

It should be pretty dang close to 50/50. how does the alignment of the miata rear and the MX rear bolt patterns line up? Have you found a suitable front hub yet?

Kia engine, the rear end it's close but not bolt on, I don't care because I'm making my own frame, as for the front I will be using Miata, again all fabricated up front as well

good choice. Did you look into 2nd gen RX7 parts at all? There would be some advantages of going that rout with 5x114 and brake options, and stronger drivetrain.

I would use it as a practice platform to reduce the chances of smashing your one of a kind rwd mx3 when it's finally done.

a simple 2 pivot pushrod system can be used and concealed under the console.

Currently searching for a cheap MX-3 in Missouri, preferably running and in the sub-$1000 range. RS or GS doesn't matter, year doesn't matter, auto or manual doesn't matter, I can find parts, but a straight car to put them in eludes me.
