please do jesiotrot! waiting this long for a tester is bull****. if we just had a tester in the 1st place that was actually ready to test it. we all would have our LSD's by now.

Agreed, months ago Jeremy and I were ready at a moments notice to get it done. We had a fresh re-build sitting in the garage waiting for the diff, a shop, same that did mine that would have it done in a day, and in within two more.

Point is there are others that can quickly get this in and done. Everybody in this GB has thus far been patient and deserves a quick turnaround.

i need like 2 hours to finish up. sorry, sorry and sorry. I was in the hospital off and on from Friday to Tuesday. I have worked til the wee hours in the morning, and not gotten much sleep.

Monoxidechild, I've read posts before from you about plugging the egr hole in the ex mani. My intake mani was already plugged, so it is just easier to plug the ex mani. Was it that you chopped off a fitting, put a nickel in ther and screwed the fitting in. Sorry no time for a seach.

The current plan was to finish 2nite, but I am not going to work in the rain (or snow). BTW, Pat, mebbe you should have installed it when it was at your house. Only saying that because you seem the least understanding. Lemme know if you want pics of my redoing of my daughter's room which was the biggest delay I had (o yea, had to replace my leaf spring shackle in the red truck, which was 2 bumps from coming off).

One piece of important info. I used a toyota brake guage to measure the axle play and came up with roughly 2.5mm of play.

saight pat, i'm just been under a lot of pressure lately. did you see my question about capping the egr outlet on the ex mani. Its the biggest thing keeping me from being done.

also, supposed to rain/ snow thru the weekend, so it looks like I may finally drag that carport frame (in the pic behind my f150) over to the car and stretch a tarp over it. I'm as anxious as you guys are! i told ryan i was going to do that awhile ago, but then nixxed the idea, not wanting to waste time on a ****ty carport that'll blow away in the first good gust of wind.

you other guys said you were ready, but i waited a few days to call ryan about it (having seen no other volunteers) and then waited another week before accepting (again to see if any other volunteers), so bag me all you want. I dont care.

what i do personally is they sell a freeze plug that fits perfectly in the EGR bung. i spend the .89 cents on it, and use those. done at least 5 cars like that, never had a single problem or leak.

or you can do the nickle trick also. ive done that in the past. but i dont like it cause it leaves the huge nut still sticking out the side of the mani which is why i started doing the freeze plugs instead for the cleaner look.

if I were you i'd put the nickel in for now ( here in oz we dont have nickels, so I used a 2 cent peice, back when they were in circulation...works a treat)

put the freeze plug in later when there is time.

right now, you just need to get it working, spend time being idealistic later on when there is more time to burn.

keep up the good work, I doubt I could have done any better....

but my trans is going to drop its guts any day now and my spare ( thats waiting for the LSD) might need to be used very soon.

freeze plugs dont have a thread or pitch. they have smooth sides. you have them in your block. i just bring in the mani, and get the freeze plug that fits. and tap it in with a hammer. i do get the copper ones instead of the basic metal though. you can get them at any auto parts store.

and doing the freeze plug take no longer then the nickle trick. it doesnt take long to hammer a freeze plug in. lol

i prolly will go with the nickel for now, so I can remove it later. Ryan already talked me out of being ideallistic. no prog last nite, on top of rain and snow it was freezing, and the time itll take me to get that carport put together is about the same time it will take me to finish the probe, so I nixxed tha idea again. This weekend!!

Pat, mebbe you could answer this.
MY t3 has a 2.5" comp inlet. I bought a rubber plumbing fitting to hook it up to the stock pipes, but it pushes my VAF pipe a lil which makes it hit the TB pipe. Any suggestions? First thing Im going to try is cutting off the brackets between the two pipes. Stock turbo is not an option since I dont have a good one.
