i dont know why everyone has such a beef with honda as a whole, now i wouldnt own just any ol' honda, but i can say they can be damned good cars. The new K20 engine in the rsx type s is just purely amazing, it can make well over 300whp with basic bolt ons and no head work.... talk about a great motor. And anything with a true type r emblem on it is just sure greatness in my eyes. But oh well, not everyone can be so openminded. But eitherway i am keeping my se-r for my performance, and the p5.... well i dont know its fate yet.1988 Toyota Celica Alltrac Turbo

Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against Honda's. In fact, my 1st car was a Seattle Silver 1991 Accord LX 4 door with a Prelude H23 swapped in and a Level 10 Motorsports trans. It also had the suspension worked thanks to Eibach and KYB. I'n my opinion, if the Protege had the same following that the Civic has, we would have the same kind of aftermarket support and therefore would also be competitive. I mean, just seeing in my town alone, there are maybe 3-4 hooked up Protege's (all gens) compared to at least 30 hooked up Civics. One thing I would ove to see is but some Toyota's up against the Honda boys. It would be interesting to see an older MR2 or AE86 on a road course. We all know what AE86's are good for . All in all though, my opinion is that if it is fast or looks good, it's alright. I don't go hating on anyones ride.

i think hondas started for ease, as in even before the aftermarket started i could buy a 1992 CX and BOLT IN a 94 teg LS b18b
strip it and you have 1700 pounds of car, along with 142hp, and 130 pounds of tourqe
take the said motor and add an oem gsr exhaust manifold, free-er flowing exhaust, home made intake, and your ready for some ass kicking, all stock parts, and easy as hell to install, honda plug and play rules
granted now its easier than ever, but even without the "well civics have kits for this motor and this and that" they can be made quick as hell with junkyard parts.
gotta love it, i know i do
granted im not a mazda enthusiast nor do i have massive amounts of knowledge about them, but a kl swap isnt a piece of cake, and my roomates gtr swap is going to be a wiring nightmare
meanwhile the only things that made my swap hard was my lack of preperation and hastly running into problems that i caused
/second rant
and you should have plopped a lude VTEC head on that h23

XLerate93->You sadden me as a Honda owner. You talk about how an LS will anhillate all, first off, it will not. SECOND, You talk about PLOPPING an H22 head onto an H23. You do realize this is not that easy? Very few people have done it and had the engine stabilized. Currently I am building TWO H23a's for boost and I think I know JUST a LITTLE about them.

-Sending me an illegible question (ie: bad grammar)
No you WON'T get flamed, you'll get ignored. The results will vary if you send flames/insults

What forums are you on? The H22 head swap has been done, its the same **** that happened when the LS/VTEC head swaps started out, 20 people not knowing what they are doing attempting it and failing. It has been done. You just don't hear about as much as the morons who attempt it not knowing what they are doing.
