    he is right, the engines are exactly the same. The differences are just to name a few:
    body colored door handles
    ARMREST
    the option to upgrade to a 1.8 with the LX
    body colored side moldings??????
    not sure of other differences..
    2000 DX, Blue
    Eibach Pro-Kit, MSP Struts, 16" Kosei's on Honkook Ventus HR-II's(205-45-16), MSP Exhaust, Injen CAI, MSP Strut Tower Bar, NGK Wires
    2 JL Audio 10w3-d4's in a sealed box, Rockford 500s amp, 2 6x9 Pioneer Premier 4-ways, 2 6x8 Kenwood Excelon 3-ways, Rockford 301x amp, Pioneer Premier DEH-P650, Dynamat in some fun places.....

        usual differences between 99-01 DX and LX...power windows and door locks on LX,Armrest,body color doorhandles,usually LX comes with Alloy Wheels,also I believe LX's have a tachometer...engine is same as 1.6 although the 2.0 was offered as an option in '01...never heard of a 1.8L LX thoughand yes with the added weight more than likely a 1.6L DX will be slightly faster than an LX, however this is mostly up to the driver since we are talking about a weight difference of less than 100 lbs
