    if it's just tightened up over time, it's probably build up...either way it's not a bad job R&R the shifter linkage and replacing the bushings it's a worth while maintenance thing for the BG chassis, you can also get fancy with Bronzoil bushings or flanged bearings

      The car sat for almost 2 yrs and it stiffened while not being used.
      I figured on either replacing the bushings or being able to lubricating them.
      They are possibly rusted or something.

        the oem bushings are plastic . be gentle getting the bolt loose because that will be your issue . a little sandpaper if the bushings arent completely toast and some moly-lube and you should be ok . be sure to roll the sandpaper and run it through the shifter base then re-insert the bushings (available at mazda for cheap )if you dont want to spend for bronzoils , be sure to pack grease in between the 2 bushings as a reservoir before you re-insert the bolt . the nut is a nylock replace it with a new one from home depot ,and dont crank it down . just snug it up to take the play out but allow everything to swivel easily

            Thanks for the info! I'm definitely going to do that as soon as I can get garage space at work.

              Got some cleaning up done this past weekend. Wanted to see what it looked like under all that crud and dirt that accumulated on the car these past 2- 2.5 yrs.
              I know there needs to be some bodywork done and a new fresh coat of paint, but I still needed to know what I'm working with.

              Not to shabby considering! I got a quote from a regular customer of ours, and he offered to do the bodywork and paint for $600.00's
              I don't know if thats good, but it sounds reasonnable.

              Also, these are the wheels I've been talking about getting when we get the title.
              Hope to get the title sometime this month! The state s just dragging there feet with it.

              They are Motegi's and they are on an Integra with heavy high hit front damage. Wheels are good and the turbo is good.

                $600 seems like a good deal, what are you going to do about the front bumper? Go back to an EGT one, or fix that one up?

                      its to bad you are so far away i would like to have that bumper as my front headlight project won't take the spare egt bumper that i have. It would also allow me to stuff the fmic with out any modifications.

                          Found a nice red EGT in the junk yard over the weekend, but didn't have enough money. @$#%%#@
                          I get paid this Friday, hopefully it's still there, because it has an almost perfect red EGT front bumper!!! Woot!
                          Also am going to grab everything I can for the silver cars build.

                            Well, it started off to be a great day! Got to the junk yard where I found that red EGT, got the bumper off, carried it out, paid for it and went to leave. It had started to snow while I was inside paying for it, stepped outside and started down the steps and wouldn't you know, I slipped and fell and broke my new GT bumper! Son of a B@$%#! So now I have this P.O.S. of a bumper that I'll have to try and fix!
