If you have some spare time, you should take a dremel to those intake runners to remove the casting marks, sticking out terribly in that last photo. Keep up the greatness!

Nice sarcasm. I meant if you're continuing to pay huge attention to detail on the car, and you plan on competing in car shows, then this is a detail that could be noticed by the judges. It is nit picking, yes, the car is already so beautiful.

And I should take your word on what judges pay attention to because spray painting rare GTR interior panels makes you an expert?

Don't take it personally, we all had to start somewhere.

If I were to really build a show car the attention to detail would go up tenfold. Building a daily driven show car is counter productive and yields too many compromises that affect both drivability and competition ability. Perhaps I'll have to restate the theme behind the car in order to be understood as to what my goals with it are. It's a daily driver with a little improvement in handling, and OEM-quality paint (if we're talking present day, german-built manufacturers).

There are literally thousands of hours you could still put in the car if you want to go nuts - I don't, and I couldn't care less about anyone's opinion of what the car is. The only person that matters in this build is me - if I like it, have the money for it, have the time for it, and I care for it, it will be done. If not, then it won't. That's really the bottom line. Suggestions are welcome, surely, as I'm just as much a newb at many things as anyone else here, but the bottom line remains.

Anywho, no car work today, maybe some tomorrow. I bought a used Corbeau Forza seat, and with some square steel tubing and the XBox 360 wireless wheel/pedal set made myself a nice playseat/cockpit for Forza Motorsports. I got tired of waiting for GT5, and now I'm enjoying my driving games so much more that I have a somewhat real setup.

Next step is a Buttkicker, surround sound, and dual cupholder

323 will probably not be done anytime soon

Edit - wait I did get some work done today. I remembered that I need to get some H4 plugs since I didn't want to have wires with only connectors on the H4 bulbs, so I snagged a pair from an '02 Mitsu Galant. Now i just solder them on the mx3 harness and the OEM-ness will be continued. I supposed I'll get some 4000k HIDs later on, but for now I think this will do.

do you play Forza 3 or 2? Also since this is a thread with pictures. We need pictures of the cockpit for the game.

                    - I love when people make car-like setups for racing games. they always make it look more fun.

nice, yea i agree it'd look much clean with the H4 spliced in, how come you're going with a 4000k setup? I know 4300k is the brightest temp you can get (afaik). Most people seem to run 5 or 6k setups...I'm running a 6K setup and i'd like to switch to 5k tho lol.

Today I final-mounted the radiator, after bleeding the hydraulics one more time. I think the brakes will need one more bleed after the test drive, but we'll see.

Got the e-brake cables adjusted so now I have a functional parking brake.

I mounted the Derale fan with the mounting hardware that came in the kit as it was vastly superior to the Kragen/Napa stuff. Skipped on a shroud for now until I figure out a way to do it without chopping up the Derale shroud and at the same time not running out of space - things are very tight up front.

Got the radiator hard lines also bolted up with the t-clamps.

For some reason, I can't find the plug that goes into the Fuel Pressure Regulator Solenoid (FPRS)...I don't know where it went, I'll have to do some tracing.

In the rear, I raised the car up 30mm and set the camber at the middle of the adjusting range as a start. I'll get a 4-wheel alignment and ride height adjustment after a day or so of driving it to see how it settles and where it will rub.

That's it for today, moar tomorrow...

                              I need a favor from someone with a V6 mx3 and a camera....

Where in the harness does the plug go that goes to the reverse sensor? (Front side of transmission).

I think I found my FPRS plug (white wire with green stripe, red wire with green stripe) as I had put it in the reverse sensor plug (same type of plug). So now that the FPRS plug is located, I can't find the reverse sensor plug....I looked on my spare mx3 harness and can't find a reverse plug, so I'm a bit stumped.

The main harness has a few plugs on top of the gearbox - the speedo sensor, IAC, EGR, and the second transmission sensor (on the bottom). The upper cluster of plugs in the same area are distributor (2), fuel rails (2), TPS, and a 2-wire ground.

                                Never mind, figured it out...

The MX3 and Probe/MX6 reverse plugs are different, so when I tried finding a plug on the Probe transmission for the reverse sensor, no success. Drove to the junkyard, found a V6 mx3, and a v6 mx6, and figured it out. So I took the harness side of the plug from the mx6 and will be replacing the mx3 plug with it so now I will have compatible hardware...

One extra thing to check off the list now.
