That's nice work all around. And $75/hr for custom work is very affordable...I hear 3 digits and up is where it usually sits at.

that brace looks pretty sweet. i have the mazdaracer/corksport style one now, but i fear that it may not hang low enough to clear my new crossmember for the toyota trans. i might have to talk to you about doing a custom one... we'll see.

I would really be interested in one of those tie bars. How much do you think they would be?. Have you thought about doing the fender braces at all?

Sorry for the delayed response, just got back in from a mini-vacation with the family...I'll build the lower tie bars, they're pretty easy/quick---probably less than an hour for one and even quicker if I knock out 10---the material is less than $20 for DOM---I'm thinking like between $70-$80 plus shipping/tax. What have you guys been paying for them---couldn't be more than a $100 unless they were moly/tigged/powdercoated I'd suspect...

The complete subframe is a bit more difficult---I'm thinking around $225 plus shipping/tax---maybe less if again I could build a bunch at a time---this wasn't my idea---someone sent me a pic of the brace and I needed to build a skidplate frame/brace so the 2 are getting morphed together. I'll post pics of the skidplate when I get it fit/broke/mounted...It just dawned on me that this car doesn't have a stock cat in it---I wonder if it will clear??!!

Basically what has been made before was just a single bar that went side to side. It went from 1 lca to the other IIRC. It didn't go towards the back at all. Look up "mazdaracer tie bar" and you'll see the pics. I'd be interested in a set if the money is avalable at that time or if you can make them whenever I'd be sure to get one when I do get the money up

Here's a link to what his looked like. Basically the same as yours just without the rear brace

I wouldn't need it poweredcoated or painted. That would keep costs down for me.

Got the cool Roodwerks Engineering motor mount today! Jon's awesome---kicks these things out like pizza's. There considerably lighter, stronger, stiffer, and keeps the motor where it should be without the nasty vibrations of a solid delrin/steel mount.

I'll post a pic of it installed later-
