How about an adapter plate to let a 2.3l mzr/duratec talk to this toyota gearbox? I really wanna run Open Light and a normally aspirated 1.8 ain't gonna be enough...and I don't see spending 4grand on a stroker kit that gains 200cc.

FE3 was only ever offered in NA in the Kia Sportage. This engine and head isn't as good as original Mazda offerings due to lower quality standards in the manufacturing process. Also, if you source an FE3 from a Sportage you still need to get an intake and exhaust from a FWD application which was in MX-6 and 626 models in Europe, Japan and Australia/NZ. They have a similar relationship to B-series engines in that FE3 is to BP what F2 is to B8.
