yeah that was a good run. What was in the other lane? Looked like a trans-am. Care to post a picture of your camera mount?

I will try and take a picture of it later, it's a GoPro HD camera with one of the flat sticky mounts that I put on the flat part of my dash above my gauges. It will be a PIA to take off, but worked really well for me this time because it had good line of sight and didn't move. The car in the other lane was a 99-00 Firehawk. I had a friend with a regular 99 Firebird with some bolt ons and that thing was fast top end, Firehawks come with an additional 20hp from the factory over the regular Firebirds.

Thanks, I got a couple of heads to turn when I was launching off my 2 step, followed by several people coming up and asking about it.

Launch control is set to start soft cut at 4000 and hard cut at 4500. Bumped the ignition up to 10 degrees so it was more rapid and didn't sound stupid. I think it sounds just right, and this way I'm able to build 7-8 psi at the line and full boost right after. Flat shifts helped to keep me in boost the whole time.

thanks for the info, i will try those setting. also what you setting for cut x sparks and from y events in lauch control, i got it set at 3 and 4.

I haven't found some locally to spray clear coat on it yet. It's really frustrating. Everybody I ask and show it to, they just say no, can't do it or they don't want to do it.

Small update.

Put in a msd coil last month before I took it to the track. Was able to a new best time of 13.0 @ 104 after I bumped my timing up some. I had added 2 more degrees and was going for my 12.9 or faster run and a girl on a bike wrecked and the track closed down. 12's will have to wait until next year. Still have the stock down pipe on too. The camera went dead so I didn't get my 13.0 run, but I think my friend did on his camera.

Got the valve cover back from my friend who cleared it for me a few days ago. Put the valve cover on and drove around a bit before I get it ready for winter time.
