also i figured out the axle binding everyone talks about, a quick trip over to HPPDWN's house to compare axles i discovered that all 3 of his spares were different lengths!

i also looked up the axle lengths and found a PDF from an axle manufacturer with specs and found that the V6 passenger side axle is SHORTER than the kia and protege axle by 14mm. the jack shaft is roughly the same length (within 1~2mm's) of the kia one in the blue car.

with this said, the need for V6 LCA's is only due to crappy QC on rebuilt axles and has NOTHING to do with the V6 axles being longer.

I agree on this one, will never ever see a V6 on mine, boosted is so much fun, power on demand.

One of the things I like the most about boosted, no exhaust sound, just the sweet sound of the turbo spoolin!

Regardless, great build thread, props for sharing such cool project!

I don't agree haven't had any problems with my 2.5L V6. I meet more and more people over here with swaps done that are getting much respect on the street.
YEAH RIGHT! Thats what I use to say now look what I drive. I can smoke the tires the same as when I had my 323 turbo and now with my Protege V6. The power is there 2.5L V6s have alot of torque.

hhmm well boost is fun but breaks alot too. U eva seen a v6 323 or any N/A guy crying about having a boost leak and cant find it? or hose blowing off the intercooler? or hose came off the waste gate ova boost and blow **** up, or breaking up cuz its to cold out, or leaning out and blowing up cuz they dont have enough fuel to support 20psi (yes it happens). Not saying all that happen to me but i think with boost sometimes its a lil more headach (still fun though) and BTW shawn v6 vs my 4cyl ur gonna loose :p

i see your putting that new wifi card through the wringer huh dwayne?

anyway, the 323 is almost ready to start, just need a few bolts from the junkyard and to fill her up. when i do, i will promptly drive it out of the garage, down the street and back. then park her for a few months...

i burnt myself out working 10-12 hour days, and then working on the 323 at night. im tattered sore and brain fried.

the great thing about projects is i can stop and pick it up later, which i am doing.

expect pictures and longer posts in this thread during that time, explaining what i have done, and havnt done. and what stock parts i made work.
