It's so not ok! How dare you clutter lol, w/e man I don't care, but ya, they are a BG chassis. Hence why people go all crazy when they hear of the "ZX2 Tokico S/R strut" dammit...I said it, just caused mass hysteria lol.
Just get the tubing kit though, the spots where they weld the hangers are in the wrong spot.
Oh I know haha, it's going to be even worse now that they're discontinued, people will think they're rare and therefore better than most other struts offered lol...I can see it meow!
I agree though, KYB kick ass compared to the S/Rs. Although I am happy with how my GFs ZX2 rides, and it's Tokico equipt as it's the Sports model in Canada so it's firm. I'm guessing it has a higher spring rate than most BGs too though, as you can feel a lot of road imperfections unlike that or a stock 90-94 BG chassis, which is more like driving Cauliflower.
Been slacking on the car though! I've been stupid sick with the flu and it's finally giving up to where I may be able to do physical labor, yaaay! lol still have boxes of stuff in the Protege
Good information. I may just have to order that I know a few good welders to help. I was planning on trying to see if I could make the Racing Beat cat-back off my BJ fit as they are quite similar bends but I think I'd rather just go this route at that price.
BJ exhaust will still fit with little work. Mazdanoob has a 93 MX6 exhaust on his Escort Wagon! MX6/626/Probe have damn near the same chassis as the BJ protege fyi lol.
Hmm, good to know, comparing by eye they seemed very similar but I couldn't tell if it would work for sure. I've got a week and half off before school so I'm going to have to try that. I loved that damn catback, very well made, quiet and an awesome sound under full load hopefully it'll sound alright with this engine too.

Ok! Got some strut measurements today from the wreckers, who wants to measure a BG strut? I didn't have enough time to find one lol
Here's what I have though
34.5mm wide
75mm bolt to bolt
the clevis is offset, as well as the bolt holes
top width is 42mm with the spindle hole being 21mm center
bottom width is 49mm and the spindle hole is 30mm away from the strut body
and some pictures to leave you all in suspense lol...yes, car fire
