Picked up a GT40 throttle body for free today so I started fabbing it up. Stock throttle body is 55mm, this bitch is 66mm.
Hacked the flange off.
Then made a flange for the new TB.
Got the flange welded on and prepped the TB. Will take some pics of that tomorrow.AWD EGT BUILD http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/sho...-AWD-EGT-Build

Got it welded up and put on. All I gotta say is
It made a huge difference. Throttle response is much better. Spool time seems better although I havn't ripped on it yet. My fuel map is hella lean everwhere now. Pics!
Hand Ported!!
Bungs for Water/Meth.
Fresh Paint.

Wo-wo-wo-woah. You put a nice big TB on there and then necked down to your intake tract? That ain't right, upsize that charge pipe man!
Threads like this always make me go "yeah I need to do more mods to my car" and then I'm all "yah right I'm prolly grenading the gearbox as it is so don't be stoopid"
But a bigger TB would be a good thing. I think right now that mine is the major intake resrtriction.'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

Yeah, maybe, but I picked up a noticable increase by making sure all teh intake plumbing in front of the turbo was the same diameter and increasing a foot-and-a-half section of it by the needed 4mm made an astounding difference. Since the plumbing in question in your case is on the pressurised side, it prolly doesn't matter as much, but I'd be pretty curious to see if gains could be had. Then again if you're doing 350 through a fwd setup, well, that might be sufficient...'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and

The misfire I had under boost was spark blowout caused by ****ty NGK plug wires. I put the Magnecor race wires on it and everything was peachy.AWD EGT BUILD http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/sho...-AWD-EGT-Build
