    Robs BP GTR build

Hey guys, I know this isn't a BG chassis but after some talk from Josh95mx3 and BoGaut I hope it's cool I post here instead of the EC section.

The way I look at ti is this is a BP build, not an EC build.

Anywhere, heres a recap since I got the car in October 2011.

    When I got it:

    Now:

Last summer I found a GTR engine with a g series trans and a garret gt2871r/VJ11 hybrid(the one CS sold for a while) although it's got maad shaft play. Heres the engine and the turbo.

Incredibly low mileage engine and I've essentially fully rebuilt it, guesstimation is 75-90,000kms

I've since decided to go with a t3 super 60 turbo that is currently in the mail, I may rebuild the GT28/VJ11 hybrid but thats not in the woodwork right now.

I've also got a Haltech E6X standalone with a wonderful 12lbs PSI BPT tune on it.

CS strut bars and the ARP head studs I installed

    Synapse BOV

GS rear subframe for rear disc swap

Front traction control bars courtesy of Ryan

    Mazdaspeed Spoiler

Installed power windows and aftermarket power locks

I haven't got it yet so I'm not sure what the hell is going on with it yet.

And by retarded it's just that it looks bad? Not too familiar with my external wastegate systems to be honest.

Bro, all you know how to do is bolt **** together.... lol

Glad to see you have a build thread. Subbin.

I once had a tranny that clean. I don't know how everyone feels but I wish I had clear coated it. Seemed to me once the case oxidized it allowed dirt and grime to stick better.

Ryan, from the other pictures that wastegate dump isn't actually that bad, looks like it's routed that way to clear P/S or something.

dude..... who are you trying to kid ----- however you look at it is still a huge WTF was that person thinking- nothing about how that was done is proper in any fashion.
does it work...... probably- to each their own

I would fix that properly for free. just to get rid of the hideous mess & save my eyes

yo, I didn't even notice the welds and ****, I was more looking at the overall design. too many bends, way too short, but it would probably work?

****, I dunno, I'd throw that whole dump elbow in the trash and make a real downpipe and vent the gate to atmosphere.

Yeah, that EWG leaves a bit to be desired. Sub'd for the build, however.

@Ian, I know, all I can do is bolt turbos to a car to make it faster. If I had to do real work like bolting a camshaft in or a flywheel I'd be crying and asking fore help ;D The tranny was actually blue when I got it so I used paint stripper and a wire wheel to get it off, down the road the plan is to put an LSD in so when I pull it or put an LSD equipped one in I think I"ll try something to keep it clean.

@Ryan and @AtomicGT, just some ghetto welds eh? I think it was originally set to vent to atmo and this was just a quick fix. I'll probably be ditching the manifold down the road as well as the down pipe. I appreciate you guys mentioning it though, main reason I ditched my MX-3.com WL was because there were too few people familiar with bp or boost over there to help me along.

the manifold is whatever, it'll flow enough for that turbo. get a 5-bolt flange, go 2.5" elbow from the outlet swaged out to 3" further down so you have clearance, do a 90-degree up with a 38mm flange so the gate outlet faces forward, and then feed it back into the downpipe. VTA gates are dumb if you're not running a bunch of boost, super annoying.

GTR motor is rad, I love mine. add ARP studs and it's the honey badger of motors.

That is really really specific haha. I'll keep that in mind, plan is to at first run 12 lbs and then down the road max out the g series trans which would probably put me in the neighbourhood of 17ish lbs.

my station wagon was running 1.8-2.5 bar from an HY35 on a mystery junkyard G-series with the cheapest ATF I could find in it. avoid nasty shock loads and a G-series will hold up to a fair amount of power.

I'll keep that in mind. When I'm back in town for school in September I"m gonna pick up a spare BP and g series though just in case.

I'm in town for the long weekend messing around trying to fix my MX-3 GS after my K8 **** the bed but I might take some time to wire in some stuff while I"m here.

What I need to get my BP going right now is:

                            1: Single wire oxygen sensor
                            2: Speed Sensor for a G series
3: Cable for teh mechanical speedometer
                            4: 92-93 RS Cluster

The O2 sensor and the speed sensor are in the mail but I've got no line on the rest, not sure what I'll do about that but I'll find out by the time I move back.
