    Cody's Silver 95 Escort Wagon

Well ****. Here we go again. I'm gonna get rid of the 92, and the S/R will probably get put away for a rainy day, but I'm getting tired of musical cars... I love wagons, and this one is gonna be pretty nice with some work... Everytime I get rid of a wagon I end up regretting it, so this should be a pretty permanent vehicle.

Details: 1995 Escort LX Wagon. Wish it were a sport, if only for a ****ing tachometer, but alas it is not. 5 speed, Silver Frost Metallic in color. It drives great, and is in okay shape, with some peeling clear on the bumpers and hood, no rust, and not much that I've found in the form of dents or dings; other than the driver fender which has a wrinkle and the tailgate has a dent. Interior has the potential to clean up pretty nicely, but due to the driver electric seatbelt being busted (and the fact that I hate them) I'll be on the search for some Canadian belts.

I'm gonna get my spare GT front bumper, Hybrid GT/wagon Rear bumper, GT skirts, RMM grille, and that civic top spoiler painted Silver Frost (might as well do the hood, and find a tailgate and driver fender to do at the same time) and throw them on. I'll probably add HID's, and LED's everywhere I can. I've got another set of Ksports for it, but I'm gonna play with spring-rates a bit to soften them up for daily driving with the future infant. I've also got a rear disk setup that will go on it, and I already threw on my PierceMotorsports front strut tower bar this morning. I've got some ideas for various wheels that I'd like to try....

As for engine... I've got two spare 1.9's laying around, a spare tranny, two sets of axles, a fairly new clutch, and many other spare parts. I guess I'm planning on leaving the engine alone. I like how it runs and drives with such little effort. I guess I just want a safe, reliable and inexpensive to operate daily that is easy to repair, and looks halfway decent.

Here's the first photo I took of it:

The rear hubcaps do crazy things when the road is wet, and the windchill is like -4*:

And one of it meeting it's siblings, after bringing home a new bedroom set in it, right after I picked up the Wagon yesterday:

Yeah, I finished the zombiata body swap project last year at some point, then the DMV hassled the **** out of me for the chain of sales it went through before I picked it up. Basically it was an out of state car, that was bought from a shady dealer that went out of business, never titled by the previous owner, and missing dealer paperwork... They basically told me I'd never get it titled. I was in and out of the DMV at least twelve times for that before I gave up and sold it to my little brother, for a donor for his Exocet project.

And yeah, my first Escort was a wagon. The only body style I more prefer, visually, is the 5door hatchback, but nothing beats the utility of the wagons. I've got a baby on the way, we like to go places with the dog, and the only way to insure the dog cant accidentally step on the baby is to separate them. I plan to build a separator "cage" thing, like you see in some foresters and volvo's and let the dog ride in the back.

Thanks Ryan, I'm happy with my purchase. I'm excited for some nice weather to start prepping some parts for paint, and get the brakes and suspension closer to my liking.

LOL, I don't think it can even spin the tires, let alone cause wheel hop Ryan. A stock higher mileage 1.9L at this altitude, I would estimate at maybe 45-50 whp, and that's probably generous.

eh. personally i like it for the suspension aspect. not so much for traction.

into this. needs more motor though, especially at that altitude.

(I've got an EXP manifold and a VJ14 lying around haha)

Washed it today, and ordered some parts, updates to follow, but here are a few pics.

                    Strut tower bar:

All clean (need to paint the sliver strips below windows back to black, and the black grille needs to be swapped for a silver RMM grille)(also the windows came out really dark in this pic... They're not quite THAT dark IRL):

Plasti-Dip should work well for the window trim. Glad to see you back in a wagon, especially one as clean as this.

Plasti Dip won't last much past 3-4yrs before you'd have to re-apply, it'll wear as you wash it and expose it to the sun lol, IMACHU2s 323 is dipped black going on 4yrs and it's starting to show the primer in a few spots lol looks like a layer or two got knocked off.

                            Nice score btw
