Well ****. Here we go again. I'm gonna get rid of the 92, and the S/R will probably get put away for a rainy day, but I'm getting tired of musical cars... I love wagons, and this one is gonna be pretty nice with some work... Everytime I get rid of a wagon I end up regretting it, so this should be a pretty permanent vehicle.
Details: 1995 Escort LX Wagon. Wish it were a sport, if only for a ****ing tachometer, but alas it is not. 5 speed, Silver Frost Metallic in color. It drives great, and is in okay shape, with some peeling clear on the bumpers and hood, no rust, and not much that I've found in the form of dents or dings; other than the driver fender which has a wrinkle and the tailgate has a dent. Interior has the potential to clean up pretty nicely, but due to the driver electric seatbelt being busted (and the fact that I hate them) I'll be on the search for some Canadian belts.
I'm gonna get my spare GT front bumper, Hybrid GT/wagon Rear bumper, GT skirts, RMM grille, and that civic top spoiler painted Silver Frost (might as well do the hood, and find a tailgate and driver fender to do at the same time) and throw them on. I'll probably add HID's, and LED's everywhere I can. I've got another set of Ksports for it, but I'm gonna play with spring-rates a bit to soften them up for daily driving with the future infant. I've also got a rear disk setup that will go on it, and I already threw on my PierceMotorsports front strut tower bar this morning. I've got some ideas for various wheels that I'd like to try....
As for engine... I've got two spare 1.9's laying around, a spare tranny, two sets of axles, a fairly new clutch, and many other spare parts. I guess I'm planning on leaving the engine alone. I like how it runs and drives with such little effort. I guess I just want a safe, reliable and inexpensive to operate daily that is easy to repair, and looks halfway decent.
Here's the first photo I took of it:
The rear hubcaps do crazy things when the road is wet, and the windchill is like -4*:
And one of it meeting it's siblings, after bringing home a new bedroom set in it, right after I picked up the Wagon yesterday:
