it's not too bad... it looks way worse than it is because i wire brushed the surface off with a drill attachment. you can see way more pics in the photo album link in my signature. it'll look great when i get done. i would rather not have to deal with it in the first place though.

this forum is kinda weird in that subscribers can see the steps involved in solving problems. i have nothing to hide. i've never had repairs so public. i like it! kind of addictive actually. people look at the damage if you will and eww.. and ahh.. thinking that thing is hopeless in the back of their minds. it keeps me motivated! in the past i have put a lot of work into rides and people who saw the end result just assumed that i bought it that way. (usually because they bought everything they owned and couldn't even change their own oil) creating my photo album and BSing in these threads creates a kind of club conscious if you will. it'll be cool to look back on these posts when the pro is respectable. it's sweet to be able to sit at my computer and be able to converse with knowledgeable peers who do their own shiz!! much respect!

    later.

Haven't done anything to the BG except the occasional detail...but the BF got '92-'93 MX-3 "Recaro"s last night...very clean set at the junkyard, and I test fit my Protege's MX-3 seats on the 323 rails and they fit so I figured why not. I think I am going to attempt to dye them gray...and I might dye my Protege's seats at the same time. Going to start looking hard for shift linkage for the 323...I am so tired of this 3rd gear on the highway crap giving me only 20mpg in a car that should get mid 30s.

My brother got a shop last week and I've been helping him move all of his parts from his 2 10X30 storage units...day 1 I loaded the 323 full of boxes, to the point where I could barely see out the back and passenger side windows...yesterday I had 2 '88-'92 MX-6 seats, 2 Miata seats, 2 Probe GT seats, 2 Probe GT rear seat backs, a B-series truck wheel, 2 converters, a fire extinguisher, bunch of floormats, 2 swaybars, and various other small parts. What a hauling machine!

I do not know this...maybe next time I am at the shop I'll see. I know the driver's seat my brother has is the power seat bottom and wieghs a ton and a half. I'm not really a fan of the PGT's tweed seats or whatever that material is. That's what my 323 seats are...the MX-3 seats feel much better. Going to clean them at work today, and check out dying them tomarrow.

Oh, and my Miata's battery shorted out in the parking lot leaving school today. Luckily this cool guy was driving by and helped me pop-start it.

So now I have a Miata with a bad battery, a Protege with a loose exhaust tip that could fall off soon, and a 323 that won't go into 4th gear. Not bad huh? lol

Bwahahaha, they aren't "project" cars, they are just cars that I happen to have projects for. It just kinda sucks that none of them are "perfect". But I'll have another battery in the Miata tonight or tomarrow and be back in biz.

The drop should not be that big that it makes any diffrent. It makes it up in cold air
