        no not april fools.

it was on a straight, steep ass hill, on a back road near my house. basically i wound out 3rd gear to the revlimiter coming down the hill, and i had already started to slow down before the cop pulled out. never seen a cop speed trapping on this road before, and ive lived in this town since i was 5. so in those 30 seconds (or less) of poor judgement i got ****ed.

if you're going to speed....and a cop is going to pull you over...don't give him the chance leave the scene! no seriously though, I've done what jon has done before, I just haven't gotten fcked yet. thanks for the inspiration to keep it real jon! I hope this doesn't mess up your plans to come to the meet, cause that would suck. I'm fairly sure you won't be bringing your car though.....
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

i think almost everyone's done what i did before, its not like i was doing 100mph for 10 miles straight, passing every car i came upon, and driving like a complete asshole. my right foot got heavy for a few seconds.

there was a car up ahead and i would have come up on them at a right hand sweeping corner, so there was no way that i could have passed them without possibly killing myself or someone else. plus i think the cops radar/laser guns take pictures of your plate now.

Sorry to hear about this jon. I'm pretty sure everyones guilty of wanting to just feel the adrenalin rush for a few seconds. Yea yea, I know "keep it on the track" well whatever. I don't do it often but I do do it. Maybe not 58 over but I've hit 120 a couple of times and 100 a few more. Most of the time I drive less than 10 over. I hope everything works out for you jon. I'm not sure if you run a radar detectar shawn but I can tell you the reason I stopped running one. Think about this, if you detector is going off then most likely you are being clocked. You might get the warning beep letting you know there's something around somewhere but there are so many things around that set those warning beeps of. Now a jammer on the other hand is a good investment but illegal in most states.

                  120 in a 65 is 55 over

thanks chris. we'll see what happens i guess, i'm getting my car back tonight and then hopefully going to talk to a lawyer on friday. around here the cops use lasers, so once a detector goes off you have already been clocked. radar is a little easier to elude.

I'm not condoning your stupidity or mine lol. I was just pointing out the facts. But anyways, yea definetly get a lawyer. You're going to need it especially in your case where you just got your licence back. Hopefully they will lower the charge. You're deffinetly going to pay out the ass for the lawyer and court costs/fines but hopefully you might be able to keep your licence

lol i know, i just thought it was funny that you basically said "maybe not 58 over, but ive gone 55 over a few times"

basically i dont really care what the fine is, or if i have to do community service or something. as long as i dont go to jail or lose my liscence i'll be a happy camper. problem is everyone here at work is telling me its been on the radio and **** now. apparantly it was part of a "sting" to catch some guy in a black car who speeds by there every day. i dont go by there everyday, but i was speeding, and i do drive a black car... sucks for me.

                          fun with tangents!

Today I'm picking up a gasket i ordered from the dealership for the dynamic chamber and intake manifold mating surface. I figured that if I'm gonna replace the air valve gasket, i might as well replace the dyn chamber one too.

I made a foglight grill for our 323. I posted a couple of pictures over in the photo gallery. Grill looks better in person than the photos.

or take any goodies..... that's a problem here..... car goes into impound (private tow yard in my town)..... go get car..... stuff missing (I.C.E, turbo goodies, motor goodies etc...).... yard says it came in like that, so not responsible.

I haven't had any of my cars in the impound yet (knock on wood) but I had a buddy loss some nice subs and a FMIC at the yard. They said the FMIC got torn off during transport....... but there was no damage anywhere around the bumper, and the t-bolts on the silicone adapters were backed off........ ummmmmm, i wonder what actually happened.
