Oh, and Matt, have you disconnected your knock sensor yet? That should give you a little extra power until you can find an s/r ecu.

I dunno about that, one of the threads I was reading last night said that the LXQ1 disregards the knock sensor at WOT anyway

        WTF?

Last night it ran for 10 minutes, then all of a sudden, shut off. Okay, I replace the distributor with a spare... nothing, swap the ecu for a spare, nothing. I guess I'll go replace the fuel pump with yet another spare part, but I have 1.5 hours until I have to be at the Carshow, and it's an hour away. FML.

          Why replace completely unrelated components?

Are you not getting fuel or spark?

It's spark, checked after that post, before I left for the day, took the Torino instead.

I was just looking to the common problem areas (parts known to fail without any symptoms beforehand, as it ran fine for a decent amount of time, then dead) before i spent time digging into diagnostics. I believe both of my distributors are dead, neither one has spark, on either ecu. I cannot believe it would be the ecu's, and the spare disty has never been used since I grabbed it, so...

pulled the radiator and the header out today. that third coolant hose on the passenger side of the radiator is kind of a pain to take off, I think I'll leave the header out when I put the new radiator in so I have a little extra room and then just use some cardboard or something to protect it when I put the stock manifold back in.

Recovered the rear deck with a vinyl that matches the door panels quite well. Had to replace it as the glare from the empty brake light spot on the rear glass almost caused me to have an accident yesterday.
I wish I had wood working tools to of been able to just cut a new board as it's very apparent now that the factory panel is not flat at all. It came out well for a $15 project and will also let me see how 3m 77 spray holds up to sun exposure and heat. The headliner stuff I used for my door panel didn't manage a full year here.

Also replaced the high pressure a/c line and tried vacing down the system. I have a pretty substantial leak still. I'm hoping it's the connection by the batter as it looks abused and would be the easiest to replace. Dye kit and oil comes in Monday so find out then.

Due to lack of relevant photos due to darkness, here is the comparison of the new and factory window set up for drivers side.

It does ignore it at wot, but disconnecting it helps with throttle response and part throttle power. At least that's what I felt when I disconnected mine. I didn't have to run high octane with it disconnected when I did just the knock sensor (i did have to run midgrade) but now that I have an ngpo ecu, and the knock sensor disconnected, i have to run 93 octane, and it still knocks from 3500 to 4000 rpm. I just stay away from those rpms if I can help it. But with your lxq1, you should be fine.

not that I doubt you, since I still don't know a lot about these cars, but I don't know if that would really be worth doing for me. the car runs pretty well as it is, so I'd rather leave it alone than accidentally make it worse.

It's had a day to fully settle and it's looking a bit better. The only things I currently dislike it the outline of the cutout for the brake light and the issue I had with the factory rear deck cover of it drooping in the rear between the mounting bracket/tooth. I might take some cardboard of heavy foam to make it level because there is room for it if it erks me.

Horrible pictures because flash just seems to glare off the rear tint.

LOOK AT THAT COLOR MATCH!!!! Look harder!1one!

Also need trim that corner a smidge more as it isn't as flush as I'd like it.

Due to me not having a staple gun, I ended up with a little bit of a rounded edge instead of a tight one I would of gotten if I could of started with staples and worked my way back.

I thought this photo was with the back seat up showing that the previous problem wasn't visible during normal use, I was mistaken. But I took the time to upload it so it's staying.

installed new water pump and passenger side motor mount while I was at it, tightened bolts and re-filled with coolant. don't think it's bled properly but idc right now, I'm just happy to have my car back.

exhaust leak from Pacesetter was from collector flange being bent. gonna try to straighten it and possibly try again at some point in the future.

The transmission is fine, it just leaking fluid through the pan and it needs a brake line fixed.... the previous owner didn't want to fix it since he didn't want to spend more money on it... it drives great and it was barely driven I was told.. I'm the third owner and I got it for $400!!
