I'll be sure to bug you. As for this go around, it'll just be little things. New seats, moving some gauges and getting the stock working again. I'll start a new build thread.

You wouldn't happen to know where I can find a good deal on the GTX 3 hole bumper?

Findin three hole bumpers these days for cheap is impossible. Cheap now would be around 500 shipped.

posting here because yo, I do what I want:

thinking about pulling the GTR motor from the wagon and selling it as-is- Holset, PSC manifold, all that other ****. shell is mostly rust-free (one small spot on the rocker I think, it's been forever since I looked), has SR suspension, GTR computer, would come with whatever other Escort bull**** I have lying around at this point (would probably throw in the JPM arms/spherical bearings, JPM strut brace, and Quickor rear bar too for the right price).

think anyone would be interested in this? I don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to part it out and then crushing the shell, I'd rather see someone throw in a BP and do burnouts with it.

I can hardly believe it. Here it is Tuesday and we don't leave for the rally til Thursday, and Humpty the Rallykar is as ready to compete as it has ever been, and I include while it's competed in the past like, during rallies, since I've owned the silly thing. This I think may be unprecedented. Our usual method of "competing" in rallies involves fixing things while we're in line for tech inspection. My codriver and I installed the very fancy high angle inner CV boots yesterday, did full brake inspection, topped off gearlube, and checked alignment in much the same way as Team Fail in the above post. When you turn the key, the car starts. It even continues to run if you take your foot off the pedal on the right. This phenomenon is called "idling" , I think, and well it didn't really do that last rally. The expensive ironmongery just behind the radiator does something now, instead of just affecting the weight balance. It makes something called "boost" which makes the car "go". Both of these qualities are kinda novel. We have 4 sets of mounted rallytires ready to be used up. Well, to be *finished* using up. New tires were not in the cards, but hopefully what we have gets us through the 150 stage miles. The 27 mile Newhatzel stage is the one that made me think we best have lots of tire available. We'll have our finest used up set on the car for the start of that stage on Saturday. It's being run in the dark. We'll need all the help we can get. Now, on to hoping we don't break or crash....

Interested in the shell. I have my BP-T sitting in the rotted out MX-3. Been looking for a clean shell for ~3-4 years (but, been looking for a steal of a deal). I would need a wiring harness etc.. I wanted to grab a Stratified Megasquirt to drop in as well.

Finally replaced the front main oil seal, Was a complete mess. Tried the drill and screw method first but there wasn't enough metal on the baby sized seal to bite enough with the degree which mine was stuck. I ended up just gently tapping the flat portion inwards and eventually it just popped out. Didn't scratch the crank area so I was pleased. It hasn't leaked in 50miles so I'm comfortable I managed to drive the new seal in well enough.

I did notice my a/c compressor is leaking oil. Which is weird because it's been the coldest it has been size the refill ~6 months ago. I hope I get to replace the seals in it before it grenades it self. Never taken apart an A/C compressor before, should be "fun"

I thought it was funny the inside of my oil pan is cleaner than the outside, or hell most the engine bay.
