Wrapped it up to sit in the driveway for a couple of weeks. Couldn't fit it in the garage with my BF in pieces, and my BMW being blocked by my tire-less626 (yes, I bought it back). I did take the BJ for a rip, the sound that car makes still makes me giggle.

Decided that I'm going to go and pull all the good stuff off of my '94 protege lx, and get it ready to scrap out. Plans are to pull the rear subframe so that I can convert my zx2 to rear disc brakes, and then pull the trans, pull the rest of the engine (I already pulled the head off it last year), and then pull the wiring harness and ecu. Maybe the master cylinder, steering rack, and guage cluster. Not sure yet on those things. I want to make sure I have everything I could ever need off of it, as I know I won't be finding many more 1st gen proteges cheap like this one....

got the rear brake assembly off my protege that I will be scrapping..... I don't want to ever do that again... The guy I'm selling/trading it to wanted the long bolts between the lateral links and brake spindles intact.... Should've just bought him new ones and sent them to him. It took over an hour to get each bolt loose from the dang bushings because of the stupid wi rust.... I had to cut the lateral links up to the the bolts out. The lateral links were rusty anyways, but I think I would have been able to reuse them had I not cut them....

Found out I never notched the front passenger axle nut when I replaced the axle last weekend. Did a tire rotation this week and the axle nut was hanging on by a single thread, that was a bit of a shocker (though not as shocking as watching lug nuts fly off while driving, luckily the rotor landed on the wheel as I was stopping and the car didn't smash the pavement).
